  1. Past hour
  2. One of the nicest blokes in football isn't he?
  3. That was the point I was making.
  4. 29 going on 30 isnt old for a motivated and highly professional player see Trippier and Burn when they signed. Its just I don't think Grealish has the motivation or dedication to get back to the levels hes capable of.
  5. Dokko

    sunderland

Nice windfall for Brum & team Bellingham.
  6. "Fat yet emaciated" - Ashley's Newcastle United.
  7. Insane fee for Jobe considering Dortmund don't really splash the cash so fair play to them
  8. Skeletor

    sunderland

Nice windfall for them. Too bad no-one with a pulse will want to join them.
  9. Leemond

    sunderland

Fucking off at the first opportunity
  10. Who exactly is jealous of them signing this young promising player? Joao Pedro is one that I really think we need for many reasons. Not some unproven. Regarding other cases. Some people laugh at other clubs signings, some rate some of them. What’s so unnatural about it? And not everyone bashes every signing we make. Like you make it sound. There will always be people complaining about players, also players they haven’t seen. And praise players they haven’t really seen. Just the way football is.
  11. Its lazy journalism at its finest. He's crap.
  12. The Grealish rumour seems counter to all our normal transfers - Past it - "Big Six" cast off - Loan (with no obligation to buy) and no doubt a large loan fee - Basically a corpse at this point (29 going on 30).
  13. Think it's just the prevalence that is creeping in with our fans of wanting players or being jealous of other clubs signing players they've never seen play before
  14. Even then Gordon & Barnes > Grealish
  15. Disappointed we’re not in the race for Maignan at that fee tbf. Level above the pontiff.
  16. He'll obviously not be good, promising Greek youngsters never turn out to be good.
  17. Dont see the need for Grealish at all unless we are planning to sell one of our LW.
  18. Skeletor

    João Pedro

A fair price all in all when you add in versatility, quality and the "something different our attack doesn't have" factor.
  19. Brighton have got it more right than wrong with their signings to be honest. I'd assume they've done their research and scouting before dropping £30M on a "random teenager"
  20. “Howe continued: “Speed is key for us and I have reiterated that many times internally. Speed is key because we have to be dynamic, we have to be ready to conclude things very quickly because good players don’t hang around for long. That’s always been my thought and my message on recruitment really because you can have a period when you think you have time - but then you look around quickly and you see that time has elapsed and you missed opportunities you won’t get again. That’s what we will be trying but the reality of that is it’s not always in your hands - but we will do our best to do things early.” He couldn’t be clearer though he also said this just before the above which is quite revealing… “As I said, we have to get the financials right, we have to get the other aspects of trying to sign a player right. Hopefully, we can do that.” https://www.shieldsgazette.com/sport/football/newcastle-united/eddie-howe-transfer-newcastle-united-champions-league-5145955
  21. Marseille in puma is just plain wrong, same for Milan, and Portugal.
  22. You've got 3011 posts, surely you know that's not how this forum works bud.
  23. There's no real need for us to be active in this mini window, aside from potentially missing out on targets. We aren't in the CWC, the PSR deadline isn't until the end of the month and the players won't be back for preseason until July so bringing someone in on 30th June rather than 8th June doesn't make any difference. I assume by "early", Howe means before preseason, unless he's clarified otherwise.
  24. Gordon, Pedro, Grealish and Bruno in the team and we’re trying to hire a set piece coach. Lovely stuff.
