    Harvey Barnes

Howe will probably go back to 4-3-3 For the last game of the season. The way he took Barnes off when we needed a goal shows to me anyway that he's not his main pick. So a Murphy isak Gordon front line Willock into midfield with tonali and bruno and a back four of Krafth schar burn and tino.

    Anthony Gordon

I reckon he wasn't great at the start of this season. There was some speculation on here at the time that the possible Liverpool switch might have turned his head. It might be that the stats don't back that up, I don't know. Not having a go at him, I think he's class and on his day unplayable. But Barnes to me has added more on LW late this season, and Murphy is better than either at RW. What a season he's had.

  5. proper great post this. Can we strap JL up too?
  6. Marco Silva wouldn’t set anyone on the beach yet.
  7. Yep. Wingers in a 4-4-2 are wide midfielders, and in a 4-3-3 they’re wide forwards. You’d 100% expect a better goal return from a modern winger.
  8. Just seen this now, but it reminds me of this photo from a local hairdresser's website, when Kate made the wrong jumper choice on social media day…
  9. Form seems to have dipped since he signed that bumper contract, Haalands too, and Palmer - interesting 🤔

The difference is that players like Gordon are considered talented and Murphy not. Murphy gets a rough ride for the vast, vast majority of the time - even when he's playing out his skin (in terms of form) and players like Gordon get an easy ride even when he's not performing to his best (or even well) is my view. He deserves his criticisms - because his attitude is wrong. If his attitude wasn't wrong, I'd not be on his back (personally). I absolutely love Murphy because he is an absolute model pro and role model. He also has less goal involvements than both Barnes and Murphy in 1 less game than Murphy and one more than Barnes. (The last paragraph is from my previously edited post which may have been missed.)

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Looking forward to surprise signings as we tend to do our business quietly
  12. Hmmm, I don't know like, not playing as well as a previously high level is not something I'd describe as poor or shite but each to their own
  13. Depressing Cunha going to Man U - liked watching him play

    Anthony Gordon

People know how good he can be and consistenly can be as a result. Therefore, he has been poor - because he isn't playing to his capability.

    Anthony Gordon

A decent break with his young family, recharge the batteries and good pre-season and Gordon will be better next Season Got to remember he gave up nearly all his Summer Holidays last year sitting on the bench with England, .missing out on time with his newborn child ..Form is temporary
  16. I'm not saying he was as good as last season but he's definitely not been poor or shite all season Think he was okay at the start of the season but kicked on in December but unfortunately been terrible since early Feb

He wasn't like. He's not been anywhere near last seasons levels all season. He went through a spell of getting goals and assists but hasn't shown the same attitude (as last season) all season. One of the reasons WFs did the display versus Man City was to perk him up as it seemed he needed it. He is clearly a very good and impactful player on his day but this season has displayed that on very few occasions. He also has less goal involvements than both Barnes and Murphy in 1 less game than Murphy and one more than Barnes.
  18. Long shot, but does anyone know anywhere in Paris that might have our game on this weekend?
  19. What is with this rewriting of his performances this season? Are people actually serious about saying he's been poor all season? It's absolutely nonsense He's definitely been poor since the League Cup semi final but prior to that he was very good

    Anthony Gordon

To me he's looked completely different since he supposedly got offered to Liverpool, body language has been completely different since, he doesn't look at all like the enthusiastic lad he was the season before.
  21. There was 3 🤣 I expected about 7/8
  22. most players nowadays I'm pretty sure will choose whichever PL club offers the best payday, it's that simple sadly MU can still blow most clubs out of the water on that front
  23. Strange one. Surely he's got the pick of the elite
  24. It seems as though Man United have had a free run at Cunha which is mental, he's so decisive and takes responsibility for attacks like few others in the league. Delap I think is a good signing for 30 mil, but he's not amazing technically... his decision making will improve, well thats debateable if he goes to Manchester, don't know how much better technically he'll get. As for us being linked with DCL, but people saying Vardy would be ridiculous. Vardy all day. Great striker, DCL never showed he was a great striker. Vardy has every kind of finishing and his intelligence is unbelievable...and he's a winner, a leader. No brainer for me if we aren't spending real money on an out and out striker.
  25. At my niece's wedding on Sunday with my daughter being the flower girl. Going to be frantically checking my phone during the day!
