Mate at work is a Sunderland fan. I’ve always made a point of not discussing our fortunes against them, or mentioning the derby in the 4 years I’ve known him. Even when we beat them last season, not a peep, I even went into that game saying they’d beat us because that’s just what happens. Not a peep from me when we beat them.
