  2. The "no dickheads" policy is a professional thing. Bad influences in the dressing room, poor trainers, those likely to stir up discontent or easily unhappy with a face on. Pep is big on dressing room harmony. Cancelo gets in a hump, he's out. Kyle Walker gets bladdered, goes to prostitutes and serially cheats on his wife. No issue with Pep.

Just for interest, would you talk about ‘Brighton’ or ‘Brighton and Hove Albion’? To us you are, in conversation, Newcastle - that’s all

Holy smokes! Seegull has just signed up, logged in and immedietly laid the smackdown on Kaka.

No he didn’t. Brighton don’t do release clauses. However, I believe a gentleman’s agreement existed which player, agent and club stood by

Yep. Always feel finding the player we want that fits in the projected wage structure of the club overrides the fee. Obviously we’ll want close to our valuation but if all other boxes ticked then I think we’ve shown with all our signings under this ownership that we’ve paid probably £5m above initial valuations.

    Because they're a BHA fan.

I know we don't like paying 'above value' but I think there's another point here that sometimes slightly inflated transfer fees will give us free runs at players with achievable wages where if the fee were lower there would be more competition from other PL clubs or abroad. I think we will sometimes have to bite the bullet on this particularly if it's a target we've done a lot of homework on. This seems an example of this.

Problem here is they don't come across as fans? Why not say US or WE instead of even NUFC nobody talks about us that way unless......

MacAllister had a release clause in his contract, which was why he went for the lower fee.

Please call us NUFC please, I thought you were talking about Forest at first!
  12. Tross

    St James' Park

Absolutely. Or we could just stay put like.
  13. SteV

    Anthony Elanga

Who cedes possession to Forest!? *apart from us in that second half at SJP
  14. Seegull

Who knows what is true. Inc whether NFC are really after him? Chelsea are being touted but that may just be they want all of our players and Chelsea are our cash cow! Brazilian team mate Igor said in an interview that Pedro wants to live in London but no idea if a deal breaker or whether he will be offered the choice

I thought you might have used the seegull in terror username as a nod to our neighbours
  16. I see the daft cunts still think they will comfortably stay up. Two players down already, 24 points behind the other two promoted clubs and a team full of average at best championship players. It's going to be such fun when reality hits them very quick into next season

Possibly but I think there will be healthy competition. Perhaps ‘get rid’ was a bit strong though. The club are happy to move him on is probably more accurate and that will be ‘subject to the right fee’. Having said that, I think his replacement(s) have already been signed so we probably need to balance the books. Part of our club’s philosophy is to allow players to move on to bigger clubs when the time is right. That is a big part of why we can attract some incredible young talent. Pedro fits this narrative but the money has to be right for Bloom, especially if he feels the player hasn’t met the club half way. Contrast that with McAllister who went to Liverpool with the club’s (and fans) blessing for a lower fee than Bloom could have obtained elsewhere. Also BDB who the club didn’t want to lose but supported his move to his boyhood club and with a below market fee.

  19. Was with a few Forest fans over the weekend, who although said he's a good player and works well in their system, he's very much a player that plays on the break. He's less effective when teams are sitting in and ceding possession to us. Which is something we struggle massively against. Interestingly they also said Gibbs-White is also overrated. Goes missing in games and while there's flashes of brilliance, it's a little bit more sporadic than they want.
  20. It's us or Chelsea atm. It's a stonking fee and he's not done enough to generate interest from abroad at that price.
  21. Unless they do illegal things we should stay out of our players private life. I don't want to comment on his personal life.
  22. Guess they got an offer they couldn't refuse.
  23. We try to win now. Will be hard to get used to, I understand.
  24. fwiw I have it on very good authority that it wasn't just him slagging about, and his wife treat him like absolute arse. Like almost abusive. Still not a good look to be seen with Geordie shore tarts, but hey ho. Less said about the outfit the better but footballers with money...
