    Sven Botman

he was really good. I didn't see any rustiness in his performance at all.
  3. Rod

    Dan Burn

I think that I'm in love with him. He's fantastic and I know a lot on here adore Schare but BIG DAN BURN has held that defence together all season. He's fantastic.
  4. Clear to see where the next step is to building the total up season on season. We've left lots of points on the table against mid-table teams this year, to take only 2 points from 18 from Brighton, Fulham and Bournemouth combined is something we can, and need, to correct next year. We're formidable at home and can match anyone up at SJP but we're still (understandably) struggling away to the best in the division too. No reason why we can't add to the squad depth and quality and tack another 10 points on next season - it's potentially there for us
  5. Nowt wrong with that though
  6. 3 points and Forest mathematically can’t finish above us. As you say, it would also take a miracle consider our GD for Villa to overtake us.
  7. "so congratulations to them" for making it difficult for us, when we've just beaten them 2-0 is so patronising
  8. The scousers gave McManaman the some stick for the same thing (minus the league titles). Booed Owen when he came back so they've that going for them.
  9. The best coach around.
  10. Lotus

    Sven Botman

If Burn was 5 years younger I reckon Botman could have a problem. But given Burn is getting on and the money spent on Botman I think he’d probably pencilled in as the main LCB for next season. Glad he’s got a player of Burn’s calibre to compete against.
  11. I used to weirdly enjoy calling out the refs back in the day. If you're a shit ref who's being paid to be there then you have to accept that you're going to be told how shit you are. Different story if you're a volunteer who isn't getting paid.
  12. If I’m reading it right, one more point and both Chelsea and Forest can’t finish above us due to them playing each other last game of the season. Three more makes Villa finishing above us a miracle.

Exactly. One foul and booked. Caceido ........... nothing.
  14. Overhyping it. It put the winner of it in pole position, and the loser hoping for results to go their way alongside doing their own job.
  15. The few times we have changed system in the last couple of seasons, the transition has been seamless and we look so well drilled. The guy is just an absolutely elite level coach
  16. Justdoesit

    Dan Burn

Absolute legend, I don’t know if I have a bit of rose tint in this view, but I feel he has greatly improved with the ball at his feet. I noticed a couple of quick forward passes today. My player of the season, for sure.

    Alexander Isak

I disagree there was times in the second half when chelsea could just play at there leisure at the back and he didn't try to harry or anything he just stood there watching. PSG game last year springs to mind with him not been able to work off the ball. Howe needs to use his attacking subs to get him off early after 60 minutes.
  18. Was very good generally, given every song is so fast that most people can’t keep up. The second half everyone got so nervous but I don’t really think any crowd in the country could avoid that with the way the game was going.

Sounds like nonce behaviour to me
  20. Seemed good, by all accounts (other than perveyors of county cricket atmospheres (if the radio is anything to go by) on RTG obviously) was. Maresca's even using it as an excuse for the card. The best atmosphere's anyone's experienced had dips, probably relative to the game. Its natural. Constant noise is only really created by cosplaying ultras and isn't actually support.
  21. Lotus

    Lewis Miley

Btw, if the plan is to give Miley 20-25 starts next year I’d definitely think he should stay. If he’s going to make 20-25 appearances from the bench for a few minutes here and there I’d think he’d be better off going on loan. Anyway, we’ll see when we see. Hope for the starts obvs.
  22. FWIW in rugby it’s not really to do with punishment, it’s just completely alien to the culture to disrespect the ref. Every coach tells you from a kid to call the ref sir and that everything he says is fact.
  23. In the same breath he admitted to making the decision to leave Liverpool when he was offered a contract extension. Liverpool and Liverpool fans like to make out that it’s them against the world and the rest of the country. The poverty they have endured, the social political values in the community etc. It’s absolutely no fucking different to any other northern city or town.
  24. From Villa onwards perhaps, but prior to that the service to him was great.
