  1. Past hour
  2. I oscillate between this and then considering how many teams fall apart immediately after the iconic coach left. Slot has done well by deciding to fuck it dont need to do much. He has made tweaks. He's still won the league even though it's far from a classic side. I think however the fragility in the cups proves there is a long way to go, and I actually wonder if that and their tailof is more that while they didnt slump post klopp he has merely delayed it a bit
  3. Would say he's been easily as important as any of the other signings. Trips set the tone, Bruno and Isak are the push to elite level, but none of it gets anywhere if we're shipping goals and Burn was immense for a full season at left back while Hall got up to speed, and then even better at center back. He has his limitations, and it's insane how he can't score a header to save his life (except in cup finals) but he's been a huge part of our success since he came in. Plus he's just a great dude.
  4. There are always several perfectly reasonable candidates to be fair. I think it is reasonable to weight winning the league pretty heavily. He also won it at a canter, the fact we can plausibly be 2nd kinda proves that, however amazing an achievement that is for us, it's not the strongest league this year. Having said that if we do secure 2nd, I think that would be a fairly amazing season for Howe, I remember a lot of pundits prior expecting us to be 7th at best. He would be a worthy winner. Nuno to be frank also deserves it even just for achieving European football. If they take into account the cups, that of course strengthens Howe and I would argue he ought to win really, but it'll be Slot.
  5. Slot basically took over a winning team and arguably made them worse the longer the season went on. I think there is no outstanding candidate other than Howe, and I like to think I'm fairly even handed.
  6. Ikon

    Sven Botman

Touch and go for Sunday all of a sudden… (Winebrain the cunt himself)
  7. What if we go with 3 in the back again but with lascelles instead of botman?
  8. KaKa

    Sven Botman

The Dan Burn signing has proved to be an incredibly important one in hindsight. Never mind how good he's actually been. It's been especially crucial with Botman having these issues.
  9. I guess a manager can come from an over performing team, It's subjective point of view. Imo, the Premier League Manager of the year is Slot, the points difference in his first season, and not really adding to Liverpool squad made it him for me. Overall manager of the year across all competitions is most definitely Eddie Howe. A trophy, league finish to be determined but looking good for 2nd to 4th. After being prevented from buying any proper first team players for nearly two season, because of cheating rules. It couldn't be no other than Eddie.
  10. The shrewd move would be to get DCL on a free, and let Wilson go.
  11. Kanj

    Sven Botman

Couldn't give a single fuck about a 42.4% for Fab when we're sat 3rd in the table today and have a shiny new trophy in our cabinet.
  12. Always reminds me of Brian Kilcline lifting the Division One trophy
  13. Don't like the leaked one, looks like something you see graffitied on the underpass of a metro station next to 'INCH'.
  14. Slightly disagree. If it’s prem only, you could factor in plenty of other things - e.g, time at club, resources, previous finishing position, etc. Not saying that most voters put in that much thought
  15. Weirdly, Dara O'Shea appears to also be fifth in MOST aerial duels won. How many could he actually be involved in to have 5th most total but second worst by ratio?
  16. If the Premier League Manager of the season is purely based on the league wtf is even the point of it, because you could argue that it should always go to the manager that wins the league. There has to be thought given to other competitions and situations the team has been through. Because genuinely if it's only the league then the league winning manager should get it every year.
  17. If it’s the premier league manager of the season, then surely the cup(s) have nothing to do with it? /pedant mode As mentioned above, seems crazy to even ask the question before the league is finished
  18. Are you lads besmirching the Newcastle city coat of arms? I fuckin hope not. It's really old, which means it is really good and should never be changed.
  19. The bottom one is really nice! I hope we go with that.
  20. And Brenford, only needed the Wolves manager for a full house of the nominees.
  21. Suggests why he'd be the RCB. Botman or Burn the one who goes and wins the aerial stuff, Guehi/Schar the more footballing one.
  22. So maybe now all those people losing their heads on Twitter about how the club is selling its soul by changing the badge can quieten down now. It seems clear they are going to be updating/modernising the current badge rather than a drastic change to an entirely new badge.
  23. Eddie Howe. First domestic cup for his club in 70 years and beat Forest, Arsenal and Liverpool to do it.
