In the minority it seems here but genuinely not fussed and quite looking forward to it.

Bias aside, our badge is absolutely class and I'm programmed to have a visceral positive reaction to seeing it (removing the colour from it already removes that reaction though).

Need to update the crest because of our global reach increasing? What the fuck are they on about? No one gives a shit about a crest other than the club’s fans and the fans don’t want it to change

I do get the move to change it. It does need modernising from a branding perspective.

Dont know why this is such a surprise. Were there not reports the club had engaged people to look into a redesign a couple/few years ago? Then we had club videos last summer(?) with one of the old crest behind Eales (the round 1970s one), and people speculated going back to the one. At least the club are engaging supporters in the change, and will (hopefully) take feedback on board, rather than just changing it.

It was always going to happen, basically every club has changed crests in the past 10 years. We've also had multiple different types, over the years, so from my POV it's not a shock at all.
