In 20/21 Man City were on for the quadruple right up until the end, losing the 2 they didn't win to another PL side (Chelsea) I take the point that, relatively, the competition wasn't there in the league, but they were still a fantastic side, this Liverpool side aren't. I've said it before but they filled a vacuum (left by Man City needing a rebuild and Arsenal being dickless) rather than set a standard. Agree about our season but I don't think any of us would look at this season and say we've been as consistently good in the league as we were in 22/23. Not a criticism either really, FFP has held us back, but for us to be as streaky as we've been and to have that bad a summer transfer window, but be 3rd is mad.

So Arsenal finishing 6th instead of 5th while winning CL will simply remove an english europa league spot for no reason, so that england has less european spots? Why? CL would still be 1-6.. The same if Chelsea win ECL. If we then finish top 5, the conference league spot is simply removed, with no other differences and therefore 1 less spot in total. Also some other confusing things like: If Newcastle finish top 5, Arsenal finish 6th and win the CL (hah!) Champions League: 1-5, Arsenal as UCL winners (6) Europa League: 8, FA Cup winners Conference League: -- Okay, but what about 7th?

I’ve worked with about a dozen Liverpool fans over the years, some in London and some up in Leicester and none have been like that.

Should of had a blanket on him and a flask of bovril. He looked uncomfortable the poor sod.

Plus we seem to love giving them the ball back at every opportunity. Which gives them confidence to have a go at us.
-
It's not looking good for them mind going into the playoffs bang out of form. 😂 Every season it seems to be the same. That's why the fans have a complex about getting rid of there manager every year before the run in.

Liverpool fans are an entitled bunch of arse holes well the majority of them are. Jealous when anyone upsets the Premier league hierachy. When we qualified for the champions league and they didn't they were calling for themselves to be substituted in our place. 😂 Hate that any team has money that could stop them winning. The list goes on.

Don’t care about Liverpool really but I don’t really get the hatred some of our fans seem to have for them. I don’t think it’s really reciprocated - met plenty of Liverpool fans recently (because I live in London…) who were very nice to and about us after the cup final etc. They’ve been easily the best team, but also it’s just so boring seeing Man City win everything again. People say they’d rather City keep winning things as they’re irrelevant, but that’s hardly an exciting way to look at the league! This clearly means a lot to Liverpool who never got to celebrate in a stadium in 2020, the same day Man City are getting stick because they don’t care enough about another Wembley trip because they’re so used to it. And if you hate Liverpool fans, well let’s be honest they’re probably far worse when they don’t win things, similar to managers like Klopp, Arteta etc. I think that’s partly why Man Utd and Arsenal fans seem so dislikable on here now.

First the undoubled award, now this. Not sure I can enjoy our trophy-winning & European placed season anymore tbh.

In 20/21 Man city won after 34 with 80 vs Man Utd at nr 2 with 67. In 19/20 Liverpool had 92 after 34, while Man City at nr. 2 had 69. Sure, Man City didn't get their usual 90+ season to compete with them, but that has only been going on since 17/18. Before Man Citys era of literally breaking records, Liverpools current season would win most seasons, and it would be secured around this time. It's a bit unfair to assume that competing against the best ever PL side is the usual standard. About us being at 3rd: if we win 3 and lose 1 from the last 4, we will be at the same points as our 4th place season. We've also won 19 games this season, the same as our 4th season. The difference is that we drew a lot of games that season, and have taken some beating this season, but a win and a loss is more effective than 2 draws, nomatter how bad the loss is. If we go 3-0-1 now, we would have 6 more losses, despite ending up at the same point total. It was allways the case that you could afford bad runs when fighting for top 4, and sometimes 3rd aswell.

didn't realise the Euopa final is sandwiched between the final 2 games very handy for Villa if both Spurs and MU get there though I expect Bilbao to take care of that

Not at all. It isn’t just that the points total is low on its own it's that it's low and that the title has been won with 5 games to go, so not only was a low points total needed to win, but there was also no competition at the top either. There might be good competition from 3rd to 10th but from 1st to 3rd there's none and I don't think the team that won are that good either. Pretty sure this is the earliest a club has won the PL this century. The high points seasons here had Liverpool and Man City vying it out and with other teams in the mix too. Even then I think you only need to watch the football itself, it's miles off it and it's not just limited to English teams, the standard of football has dropped this season imo.

Bellingham is as unlikeable as they come. Can’t remember him being like that before Madrid. Him swearing on the pitch in Spanish is utter cringe. Hopefully he’ll grow out of it as he’ll be a mainstay in that England team.
-
They are a horrible club - the disrespect they showed Rodri to basically threatening the ref prior to the match then during the match
-
Just been watching some of the incidents from the Copa del Rey - holy shit Jude Bellingham is a complete and utter twat. There's also him just standing there after a misplaced pass rather than trying to correct the error. It's unfortunate he'll potentially be central to the England team for several years. He's deeply unlikeable.
