Whilst this is true they also have alot of things that we perform badly against. All their front three have pace and ability to take players on, they have an extremely gifted #10 who can pick out passes and create chances from nothing and they have real recovery speed in their defensive line. They've also got a massive amount of quality on the bench in pretty much every position other than at ST. I'm expecting a nervous 1-0 or 2-1. It's going to be very very close indeed.

Chelsea are an extreme possession team, the type we do well against by winning high turnovers and hitting them on the counter. They are also playing Thurs-Sun, usually a recipe for teams struggling. Nico Jackson can do the turn and run in behind thing Watkins does, so we'll have to watch for that vulnerability, not just pace on the wings. Our team as a whole shouldn't be as knackered as we looked at Villa, our latest big test. Our second latest big test was the Carabao final where we beat easily the best team in the country. Isak has four in five vs. Chelsea, including two this season.

Arsenal have been below average recently. A point there is definitely achievable even with Big Joe out.

That's true. I just think there is so much riding on this that most are freaked out.

Watching the broadcast in the US of the Forest game today they mentioned Newcastle quite alot. They are on the radar big time.

Think people are exaggerating how much of an effect the kick off time will have like. -
People are driving themselves mad in here. Watch the games play, shout your lungs out to help get the right result. That's all that really matters. Stattos still think we're significantly more likely to qualify than Chelsea, Forest and Villa, and we only need to beat two of them.

The Europeometer™ (2024/25) - NUFC Qualify for Conference League (at least)

It’s not energy 😂 talking in a forum isn’t anything to do with supporting the team in the stadium. My opinion is the game on Sunday is 100% must win. -

Think if we draw to Chelsea this weekend it's not completely over. But we'd need to get 4 points from arsenal away and everton at home, so most likely draw to arsenal away which will be difficult then beat everton at home, could be doable if we just go hard on defense maybe, especially if they are being careful not to injure anyone for the CL matches. Could really do with arsenal beating l pool this weekend and securing CL football before playing us, but it's at anfield and I reckon this is one of the few games l pool will take seriously. Wed also need villa to not win all of their 3 remaining games in this scenario. -
Wow that's classless.

In retrospect it's unreal how angry that made me.

Just seen Inzaghi's Pisa have been promoted to Serie A for the first time in 34 years. Also Sampdoria in real danger of dropping down into Serie C.

I like the thinking, although we'd be lacking a lot of physicality in the centre if so. He's never going to be the tallest or quickest. He's more of a Bruno stand in, in fact.
-
Haven't watched this, but saw an interview with him a couple of years ago which was very similar. Said the same things about us being relegated soon after etc. etc. Dunno if it's dementia or he's told the same self comforting lies so many times he actually appears to believe them.

I think if we draw to Chelsea, it could be smart to go full defensive (which we never normally do) against Arsenal so as to just not get our goal difference down too much, then look to thrash Everton. It could genuinely come down to goal difference between us and Chelsea if we draw to them this weekend. Cept to be honest I reckon we are much better to just doing what we do best and just having a go at it. -
If we could get Tomori for £20M he'd be a good signing. Still convinced Guehi will end up at Liverpool this summer.

Win both our home games and we are in the Champions League. Simple
