Pretty grim and on one hand I think if Ashley had forced a red, white and blue Sports Direct kit we would have all been kicking off. FWIW, I went to school with Chloe Ferry's brother. Feel like Staveley was the glue. I like the idea of having a DOF, especially one with a track record of buying the JP's, Hjuisens, Caceidos before they've been coached and showcased in a premier league team. Shame whoever pushed Staveley out won that battle. The way Mitchell came in was so antagonistic and unprofessional. Can't imagine anyone coming in saying that, but to do so he'd have to have been told Eddie's going to be gone soon and we'll have total decision making power. Could have been a great thing. Our signings have very good, but to compete now, we need a good few Caceido type signings. I'll never understand why we spent all last summer on Guehi when other teams signed better defenders for less than half.
