Thomas Frank is at least a decent guy. Ange was just an arsehole.

Seriously fed up of seeing this thread bumped, I've just contributed. If its a summer of Jack Grealish, and Calvert-Lewin, I can't be arsed.

The Managerial Merry Go Round™ - Postecoglu told to rack off by Spurs
Theregulars replied to cp40's topic in Football
Losing him and Mbeumo in the same month will be a big test of how well-run Brentford are. Can see them flushing but also unearthing some 36 year old Belgian metrosexual who takes them to Europe -
Agreed. I’ve not checked the stats but I think Bruno would average 88 minutes or game or more. With the amount of games we’ll have next season he’ll need periods of regular 55-70 minute subs. We’ll neee quality to replace him not squad players.

The Managerial Merry Go Round™ - Postecoglu told to rack off by Spurs

As a business, not a sporting institution. He either picks the wrong manager or then doesn’t back the right one. To be where they are now after what they had under Pochettino is not well-run. -
Interesting appointment. Hope he fails at Spurs and Brentford fuck up their replacement and go down.
-
That's fair enough. Oh, and I've got some magic beans to sell if you're interested. 😃
-
Hope we sign him just so I can update the thread title to Dominic Calvert-Fewmin.
-
Listen. If Eddie wants DCL (no idea if he does) then that's good enough for me. And when we do sign him, then PauloGeordie will put an ultra positive spin on the deal and I'll feel 5x better even more about it.

£15-£20 million? Not in a gazillion fkn years. Let Sunderland take him the daft cunts.
-
Aye, Murphy needs a full back, Gordon and Barnes need a wing back.
-
The link-up between Tino and Barnes for about 4-6 weeks was one of the biggest reasons we have a cup win and another top 5 finish.

Yesterday I thought I'd turned the calendar to June a couple of days ago, only to discover it was the 8th of June. Where did those 6 days go? The joys of bring old and miserable.

Is Jobe really good? Just saw he's going to Dortmund.
-
I'd rather have Jam........oh just fucking forget it.
-
Worst comes to worst we can just sell him to Juventus.
-
He's just not proven to be effective, that's the bottom line. Whatever you think of his potential or the fact he's free etc is one thing, but the main thing for me is filling a slot with someone who's not going to contribute.
-
Just keep him fit, easier said than done but even from the brief cameo in the last game of the season you can see how dangerous his pace, heading and mobility can be.
-
Unless he isn't fit..
-
He’s not very good, will probably not be cheap and was statistically the second worst player in front of goal last season. Options? What options?
-
yeah I don’t know the answer which is why I’m asking; but it seems many are very focused on us specifically finding someone to beat that specific style of defense when we have more or less been excellent with what we have at our disposal and how we’ve been able to maximize players we’ve had in spite of no transfer activity. So I naturally think 1) yes we need more technical ability, who doesn’t love that but 2) how often do we HAVE to break a team down to win a match? And 3) if we just get better players to more effectively execute plan A, then why truly reinvent the wheel?
