I like Elanga and I'm pretty certain he'll do well. Everyone wanted Howe to get his way, so give him what he wants. He clearly rates him highly. As for the £50 million fee ... with 6 goals and 11 assists in the Prem last season, and 5 goals and 9 assists the season before, and only having just turned 23 this year, I'm not surprised.

Osula might be considered too raw for the PL, but he looked 10x more of a threat in sub appearances than Wilson did.

We’re very stubborn with our transfer targets. £50m doesn’t seem good value and I wouldn’t be happy if the club brief the press later on in the window that we don’t have money to spread across other squad positions if these are the types of deals they’re pursuing.
