Without googling, those seem like awful examples because most were young when they left big clubs and then did better. Not at a peak age.
-
Injury inspired or not, it showed that the workload can be split between two good strikers for the benefit of the side, and that’s only going to get more this season. Especially since we’re showing more that we will target domestic cups too and never write them off. Whether Pedro is the man or not, a £30m+ outlay on a striker feels inevitable.

So Jack's leaving Man City's bench to be a rotational player in a World Cup year at Newcastle? He'll want to start, not just come off the bench, he is not getting ahead of any of our forwards or CMs so what would be appealing to him to come here? Can only see him pulling a strop here. Best to stay well clear.

In their defence and i might be wrong but does it not point to what has been rumoured in here from bits people have heard that they’ve had a late change of mind on the size and have wisely realised that 65k wasn’t big enough so were re-doing the plans for a slightly different location to accommodate the bigger capacity after seeing the scenes at the parade?

Salah, Henry, KDB?, Robben, Shakiri?, Pique, Lukaku, Memphis Depay, Eto'o. For us Beardsley. Suppose it depends on what you define as peak, but there are a canny few players who've left big clubs they weren't getting a look in at and then gone on to shine. All depends on attitude I reckon. I'm in two minds about what Grealish would be like.

Callum Wilson: offered 'incentive-based' contract extension (Ornstein)
Likelylad replied to Strawberry's topic in Football
Wilson was getting on ahead of Osula which we could all see wasn’t the right decision. My worry, even with a pay as you play type deal is that would still be the case. -
That rotation was mostly injury inspired... We were extremely lucky that they kept timing their injuries just as the other was returning to fitness from a long layoff that season.
-
If you're looking anyone realistic from Man City it should be Oscar Bobb. Pace, technique and can beat a man. Can also play in the middle of the pitch. Would love him here.
-
When he said established stars, he actually meant players who are already on huge wages and at big clubs. I remember the question.
-
Taking everything with a massive pinch of salt like. Can only speak about the links hypothetically.
-
I'm a big Pedro fan, but we're leaking enquiries and targeting players with enormous asking prices. I'm becoming dubious.

Zunderland to retire the number 7 shirt in tribute to Jube Bellingham.

In what respect? -
I know where you're coming from but.... He's clearly not 'shit', he's just playing in an incredibly boring Manchester City side.
-
The drop off between him and Bruno/Tonali would be huge as well btw. He'd, maybees, do a job at LM but he'd have to change the Man City mindset and put a rocket up his old, arse
-
Absolutely. My base point has always been Eddie knows best. I just think he's shit 😂
-
We do need another CM. We suffered when Joe Linton was out end of the season. The drop off from the starting three to Willock and Longstaff is too great.
-
We need more than 11 players next season. Whether you like him or not if fit he would play a lot of football across the potential 60 games. Surely you think more of Eddie Howe than this though.
-
I stand with Miggy, fuck Grealish.
-
Grealish would be class but I think I’d prefer him playing as a 10 rather than out on the left. His age and wages mean it’s a non starter but he would still comfortably be one of our better players, he would be one of those that you don’t realise how good they are until they’re playing for you e.g Trippier.
-
Apart from the fact we'd have an older player on £200k a week, part funded by us, sat on the bench. When he's not on the bench where's he playing? Who's he replacing? Gordon's above him in the England pecking order and he's not getting a gig in our mid 3 so I ask again, what's the point of him?

Is it wise to offer Wilson a contract regardless of type and take up a squad place from a younger player. -
Hard pass on Grealish. Let him join the mackems.
