  1. Past hour
  2. JP is a fairly unique profile. City love that profile. Alvarez. Marmoush played at striker and AM.
  3. Seems that the press are reporting discussions as official bids (same as Guehi). According to Romano, Chelsea haven't bid yet.
  4. Depends on coefficient potentially but it would be close. Which is the point of it I guess.
  5. I know it's True Faith but their latest podcast is utterly disgraceful.
  6. Still wouldn’t be shocked if it’s Brighton saying Chelsea have bid to make us up our offer. Interested to know who our plan B is though if we do miss out.
  7. If PIF wanted too they could pay 80% of Durans wages for us. But it’s a bigger priority for them to save money on Durans wages than help NUFC it seems. But PIF are doing everything they can to take us to the top.

But they will not be in the Premier league next April/May.
  9. Difficult to know for sure, but is he? Is he the one in charge of deciding wages / transfer fee? Genuine question. We seem uniquely transfer constipated.
  10. *sigh* Annoying. Chelsea again. Wish players would turn them down at some point but it doesn’t happen for whatever reason.
  11. If Chelsea really want him they will get him , they can pay far more money and more importantly wages than we can .
  12. Job number one for a head coach or manager is to motivate a team. He couldn’t do that at all. He was awful and he did a vastly inferior job to Pardew and Bruce. That’s the thing about Howe. Before anything he gets players to give their all and he prioritises that mindset in his squad and team selection. Harvey Barnes has had to become a hard working winger to keep his place in this side. You can’t execute a good tactical plan without a motivated team. Obviously Howe is an ace tactician too but maximising his players effort is an absolute non negotiable for Howe and physical exertion is super high on his must have compared to say Emery. All that ‘protecting the players’ shit was misguided. Sometimes you gotta put your hands up - admit it’s been shit and you’ll all reflect and come back stronger.
  13. This isn’t meant to be jab at Howe, but I’m sure he’s OK with it given he is somewhat responsible.
  14. New non update klaxon 🥱 all parties agree the move “should be completed” wtf does that mean
  15. The odds will be worse for survival if they get off to a good start.

Fair play to them, at least they're giving it a go and not just banking the cash.
  17. I still think Popes injury was not right when he come back. Seemed reluctant to dive in that shoulder so maybe he knows he would fail a medical if if he was looking to leave. Either way time waits for no man.. be it Pope in goal or Wilson at CF. Players have to be prepared for a sudden replacement if we are to achieve our top 4 hopes year in year out
  18. Don’t know much about him but he seems quite highly rated.
  19. Again, literally every signing made in the history of time has expressed happiness (real or not) to play for their new club. This is nothing new
  20. Yeah not sure what the issue is. Sorry, repeating myself now, but it's great to see a colour badge on an away kit for a change.
  21. Can you elaborate? Because plenty of players have gone from Newcastle to Man U and vice versa. I doubt the Man U fans were up in arms at Nicky Butt for daring to come and play for us. Unless you mean the cardinal sin of a player expressing excitement to come and play for his new club, which literally every new signing has done for every new club ever.
  22. Wonder what he makes of the same squad 1 week before pre-season.
  23. Agree with this. I was pretty underwhelmed with the Howe appointment even though he was clearly streets ahead of Bruce. Think that feeling of being underwhelmed stemmed mainly from the fact I was gutted about missing out on Emery mind. Chuffed the way it turned out in the end obviously.
