Nah. Their recent history backs up their legacy status. They’re a well run club and an attractive destination for any player, for obvious reasons. It’s not like Man U and to a lesser extent Chelsea, where the club is run like a basket case currently and you’d have to question of a player preferring to go there instead of to a Villa or us.

If they're being unreasonable and their views on the club are awful, put together a nice terrace humour style chant about them. Remember when our fans were chanting "Savage is a wanker" a few years ago? Much funnier than banning him from the ground.

I understand the scepticism but the club clearly do appreciate the atmosphere inside SJP and how that can affect the on-field performance. The "Two free drinks" deal tomorrow is evidence of that. Hopefully they'd be looking to improve the atmosphere in a new stadium.
