Christ, can you imagine if that happened today with social media? I thought the couple of hundred wallies on the steps outside SJP was bad enough
  4. Kulu had been playing more as a number 10, through the middle. Brennan plays down the left too, and is likely to switch over to that side, as Frank usually prefers to have bot wingers cutting inside. And so there's room for Mbeumo on the right.
  5. Skeletor

Pedro would be a great signing provided he can sort out his silly disciplinary issues.

  7. If we sell them, we'll buy new ones. I doubt most of the board were aware of Bruno, had seen much of Isak, or had spent much time thinking about Tonali before we signed them. I've complete faith in our recruitment capabilities.
  8. Spurs already have a fine right sided player in Kulu. Johnson plays there too. They need a left sided player to replace Son. Mbeumo to Spurs, Kulu to NUFC, with Harvey Barnes as makeweight would be ideal (thinking of PSR) however.
  9. Would they pay him 250k a week? Or did they just say that because they know man u pay over the odds?
  10. The thing is with selling willock or Barnes. Clubs want to buy our good players, you can't just sell an underperforming player because we want him out of squad (more willock) Even Keegan sold Andy Cole to a rival to allow us to take the next step

I'd be gutted if we did sell Barnes and not Willock. Not sure we'd get much for the latter but he's the type we should be shifting instead of Barnes.
  12. It’s probably more that we don’t want to sell our best players.
  13. Plus it would be hilarious to see certain Man U fans look like mugs when they've boasted about their pull in getting Mbeumo

  15. So who do they sign to stay up????
  16. All of our players are available for purchase - it’s all a question of other clubs being able to afford them. The Sky Six have always traded players amongst themselves - our income is dwarfed by theirs, so if they come in with the right money then the player is off. I think Man City - if they’re interested enough - will pay what it takes. If we get close to double what we paid, the lad is off (the £100m valuations on here notwithstanding, obviously). The lad looks much better at LB than he does at RB, but he’s not our best LB. I couldn’t give much of a shite as long as all of the money (more importantly headroom) is available for Howe to spend - which it will be. And if the lad goes, it’s the manager’s call. I’ve no idea where this idea that we don’t sell our players comes from - every club sells their players. If we are actually going to get to where the ownership claimed, there is a real chance that none of the current squad are there when we do.

They’ve not made any secret of saying that they’d be needing to trade and sell players to keep building.
  18. We don’t need to sell, but we won’t exactly have a bumper budget if we don’t.
  19. Selling Tino to City would be completely nuts

Blows my mind that folk are obsessing over the flexibility of forward players and in next sentence think losing the most flexible defender we have is okay. I would struggle to argue selling Tino, only Isak and Tonali would be higher up the unsellables for me
  21. I thought Howe wanted to keep this team together. Are we just a selling club again bad move selling Livramento to one of our rivals,
  22. If the reports are to be believed then we don't need to sell, even if we are to have an active summer we don't need to sell So I absolutely don't want him to be sold, the price it would take that we couldn't reject is a price no one would be prepared to pay There may well come a time where we need to sell a purple to allow us to go again, at that stage I'd reluctantly allow him to go but until such a time we absolutely should be looking to keep him

Irreplaceable - not a RB in the league with his versatility
  24. shorty

    Tino Livramento

Would be gutted if he left like no doubt but probably easier to replace defenders as opposed to isak or tonali imo.
  25. By winning the cup Ange effectively highlighted his limitations. He cant do anything in competitions involving top teams, but can win cups populated exclusively by second and third rate ones. Ergo he's no use to them this side of the next Europe League/Conference League campaign, which he'd be sacked for qualifying for anyway.

With a new RW there is little reason for him to be pushed out there anymore. And even with Eddie favouring Gordon there should be plenty of game time next season. Atleast you would hope he has learned to rotate a bit more after the last CL campaign. Really like the idea of Barnes coming on the last 30mins after the defender(s) get tired trying to keep up with Gordon.
