It's not about winning anything or qualifying for anything, if it was I'd be a Man U supporter and not have supported Newcastle all these years. Newcastle were in a rotten position with a rotten chairman when I first went to see a game. Like I said the enjoyment is still in being at the game, not all games are like yesterday. We may not play great football but I still enjoy being their and would rather be in the stadium than watching it on some crappy internet stream or in the pub or worst of all not watching the games at all and being stuck shopping or whatever.

I've not bought merchandise, food, drink or programmes for years now, can't say I've missed out on anything.

I wish I could follow what some of you guys have done but I can't. It's a drug and I'm hooked, there's noubt better than being in the stadium watching newcastle win, sitting at home or in the pub watching the same just doesn't have the same buzz if you like. As for Ashley, I simply don't think enough fans will leave. Too many are daft like myself and will keep going, at worst I can see there still being 45k fans there next season. Those numbers will increase again if the team goes on a good run and again we'll have a stadium with 52k in it after a decent run and a good offer on half season tickets. I love the premiss of everyone jacking it in and forcing his hand but as a set of fans we're crap at organising anything. Protests are met by the mad folk who claim it has a detrimental effect of player performances (it doesn't). We couldn't get everyone to walk out at a certain time as was planned a little while back because the team we're playing well on the pitch and to that point people are still trying to organise for fans to stop outside the ground during a TV game but people won't do it claiming I've already paid my cash so it won't make a difference even though they know deep down it will as the focus on the fans discontent would be there for all to see. So if we can't organise minor events like these which effect fans for one match, there isn't a hope in hell of organising for people not to buy season tickets therefore we get stuck in a loop. Yes we're getting shafted by Ashley and co but frankly I'm waiting for my next fix against Spurs already.

You think he commits fraud? It was in the last set of accounts how much he had taken out and planned to take out. Depends how you count the non payment of sponsorship around the stadium, that's money we now no longer get which benefits him but doesn't appear on any accounts.

The non verified one is fake. Someone did one the other day from nufc official saying pardew had left. They even got the verified symbol on that one. Still wasn't real.

Skysports exciting news is more often than not, not exciting. I hope to be pleasantly surprised.

That's not his account his is verified.

I still don't understand why the match has to stop for a player to receive treatment. Unless the ref wants a word with a player just let the game continue and let the physio come on, I'm pretty sure that's what happens in rugby?

When puma did this he bought it on something called the grey market apparently totally pissed them off till they negotiated with him.

Ashley owns all if not a percentage of both firetrap and Dunlop.

Hopefully they look deeper into where club shop sales now go seen as terms and conditions say sports direct. No wonder our turnover is so low.......

Who fancies having a thoroughly fruitless protest against Pardew?
ToonTastic replied to a topic in Football
Wouldn't care but the debt was only £48m he took the rest to pay off the payment plans the club had on other players. Like every other fecking club. -

People can't even agree or follow through with a march. Start small and build up surely? Can't go all in with refusing to show up. -

If its not Pardew it will be someone else for whom being manager of NUFC is half a dozen steps up the managerial ladder than what they're qualified for. He's largely an irrelevance iyam. He's not. you think Ashley's about to sack him and appoint someone better? Who knows, wouldn't be difficult. Depends how much influence Carr has. I'm bored to death with people saying I shouldn't criticise the manager because the owner is a pleb tbh. Am not criticising anyone, your opinion of Pardew is spot on and one I share. I reserve my bile for the man with all the power though. You can't force Ashley out unless you can force a new buyer in. I don't know how many times this point has been made. You can put pressure on him to hire a proper manager though by campaigning against his toadying yes men like Pardew. It's a perfectly reasonable plan of action and one which has a clear end goal in sight, unlike the Ashley Out campaign. You could very easily make things so uncomfortable for him that he sells us at a reasonable price rather than hugely overpriced. -
Newcastle to charge away fans at SJP £20 - Deals with WBA and Swansea agreed
ToonTastic replied to a topic in Football
Of which there are in the majority of cases much less travel costs. Frankly all standard tickets should be max £20 but never going to happen. -
If it's like the last game, away fans aren't in level 7.

Wasn't this denied a few weeks back ?

Following his interview in yesterday's paper, isn't Gouffran the Ba replacement therefore he's seen as a purple?

If his wife is very ill then I can't see what sort of chat could ever resolve the issue. If the wife is very ill, going to Argentina, the top country regarding medical science will certainly help. She doesn't speak much english so might prefer a hospital with spanish speaking staff. Since when ?

Newcastle United 2 - 1 West Brom - 28/10/12 - post match relief from page 29
ToonTastic replied to Greg's topic in Football
I'm sorry we didn't look unfit our ability was in question not fitness. We played with a high line from our defence despite them getting in behind time and time again. They had to step back 5 yards to sort it out but we didn't. Players looked all over the shop not knowing where to play. Maybe they need more training time which their missing due to europe for tactics etc, but fitness is just an excuse.
