  1. Sometimes, this season no so much. tbf when he's played this season he's been playing with an injury which carries a 4 month layoff Don't think that's how it was, didn't he pick up a "minor" foot injury which kept him out for one game, he then returned for 1 sub appearance never to be seen again. He's a waste of money, space, time and effort.
  2. For those who have forgotten how bad he was playing http://icnewcastle.icnetwork.co.uk/newcastleunited/sundaysun//tm_headline=now-is-the-time-to-drop-joey-barton%26method=full%26objectid=24747079%26page=1%26siteid=61634-name_page.html
  3. He's yet to show this for us at all. In fact he's up there was one of our least effective and talentless players. For reasons of injury and misdemeanour, he has yet to have a run of games where he can build up his fitness. Yes, that is largely his fault and he has let the club down badly, but that doesn't make him a talentless player. Even in his short bursts of first team activity, we've seen that he can open up the opposition defence in a way that our other central midfielders can't. How many games in a row does a player need ? He played the end of last season and was terrible. If I remember correctly he managed a full pre season played 6 games for us at the start of this season and despite us doing well he was terrible. His passes went astray, he looked over weight and not up to it in the Championship. Barton looked like a good player at City but he's yet to play like that for us in the 38 games he's managed in 3 seasons at the club.
  4. I agree with you but with the likes of Barton it's a player we are playing stupid money out to which we can't play so surely it's better for the club to not be paying the wages even if the investment doesn't go straight back into the club ?

  6. Hopefully he's fit enough to sell to any bidder at all in the January window. Played appalling for us every time he has come back from his many many injuries. If he was from Spain he'd be pulled up on this in the way our other spanish shite has, for some reason because it is Barton he gets cheered in some stupid way as he warms up, then comes on plays shite and gets injured again whilst wasting us many thousands of pounds each week.
  7. The paths leading to the stadium then though were pretty clear that was st James metro car park which as you can see wasn't cleared lol
  8. I seem to remember the club weren't happy that the charlton game got cancelled they said thousands were already in the stadium by the time the police called it off, I was one of them already in the stadium half hour before kick off. It probably caused more problems with thousands still heading to the stadium with thousands more then leaving. From what I can tell there has been no more snow over night so if they get the grit lorries out now the roads will be clear.
  9. Terrible, if they want in the league they start at the bottom like every other new club.
  10. Didn't we pay a fee ? Don't think recalls are allowed when a fee is paid.
  11. Will be on Iplayer after the Championship nonsense show later tonight. Be quicker and easier watching SSN.

  13. Great goal, ran his arse off again. Lets hope he can keep it up
  14. If they could have put more of there 15 shots on target then it could well have been a totally different game, they had the possession, they had the shots, they had plenty of corners. There problem was our defence played well (well taylor and Colo) and their strikers couldn't finish. At the minute we're lucky that teams fear us and kinda sit back at bit. When they don't we get scared and show our many many faults.
  15. Whatever happened to the "Why can't we play badly and win " people ? Or are they complaining because we did ? Unfortunately it's been so long since we played well and won though, possibly Ipswich ? And then before that it's even longer.
  16. Possibly the worst 3-0 win i've ever seen. Happy for the result don't get me wrong but we didn't deserve that big a winning margin and really didn't play well. All credit to our defence who did well for us.
  17. Price can't be that good, when they signed him from Leeds there was a 20% sell on clause according to wor Wiki
  18. Before Ashley paid off the debt the club were paying out £8m a year on debts of around £80m. Even after that was paid off we were still paying more then £1.6m a year just for the overdraft facility (between £2m to £4m depending how much of it we used). So I don't see £1.6m as anything to be worried about. Though I did mention having the option to opt out of interest payments in order to keep the money in the club. If its £1.6million total outflow then fine, my worry is that it is £1.6million to the members, then another trench to service a loan and another trench to service an overdraft etc. I know I'm a negative bod when it comes to the NUST and this intiative but believe me I'm willing to be converted and if its the best way forward then I'll support them 100%. However, I can't see how we as supporters can generate enough income to get the club back to challenging for Europe without looking for outside assistance, which will come at a cost. We've all seen what happens when you borrow against banking on Europe (Luque/Owen etc) and then you don't get there. I just hope that when the plans are unveiled in their totality that a sustainable path (maybe a 5 year plan or such like) with achievable and sustained improvement are detailed along with how much in full it is likely to cost the club. We should be able to generate more income than Everton purely due to the size of the stadium, the question is though is there a plan on how to use it effectively? It all comes down to how much money the fans put in really, and also how we're run if/when we get back into the Premiership of course. For instance if we really could raise £200m (which is a major doubt) we'd then be paying out £4m a year to members but we'd have £120m in the clubs bank account. Not only would that actually generate millions in interest from the bank but it would also mean we'd have no need for an expensive overdraft and no need for outside loans. Then again if we raise £100m we'll have £20m in the bank (initially of course as shares will still be available to buy) which is still healthier then having nowt in the bank and using a large overdraft as usual. Of course we may raise £60m and all this will mean nowt. Would't have to pay out £4m a year to members either as many members will say the club can have their interest so that number could come down.
  19. You'd have 1 vote and be earning 2% interest on your 15k.

Pay him off with his contract or simple ignore it, can't exactly sue us for much for breach of contract if he only paid 6p
  21. I know it would be good to get a bit more out there. I know they are meant to know what their doing but so far the only information the company launching this have released is stuff we kinda already knew before the launch lol
  22. They might not know they appear to have done it through a school http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/north-east-news/todays-evening-chronicle/2009/07/20/newcastle-shirts-go-global-in-world-cup-bid-72703-24196026/
