Sports Direct shares have taken a hammering today, down nearly 9%. NUFC won't be MA's focus right now.

He's an absolute control freak.
-
Because those people don't make decisions, they just report back to Mike who makes all the calls.
-
I seem to recall him megging Micky Gray at Roker- did I make that up?
-
Also Elland Road is in no way decent, it's a bombsite.
-
So we can rely on a guy who's played a couple of games and one who's never played before should we find ourselves in last-ditch relegation battle. Why do we need attackers then? There are strikers in the youth team, we can just play them.
-
Why would being a serial failure in the Football League render him too good for non-league?
-
Pav was my favourite player as a young'un, but he was dreadful on crosses and enjoyed a saunter 20 yards outside his box. Still, he nutmegged Micky Gray at Roker Park so he can do no wrong in my eyes.

Why spend money if people keep coming anyway? After 15 years of continued investment, we've not spent a bean on the ground in a decade. They haven't even jetwashed the blockwork around the back of the SE corner.
-
At any given time, there's usually a couple. Salford's ex-pro involvement just gives them a bit more publciity.

Reserves game at Blyth has been scheduled for Sat 7th Nov at 3pm, admission a knock-down £5/£3. Blyth's opponents that day are in FA Cup action so they have a free weekend. Will try to find out if the Bournemouth game is on the clubhouse beforehand.

Over in Barcelona with work and managed to go tonight, first time at the Nou Camp. Mit only a huge stadium but there's a whole ring of shops and attractions around it, so takes an age if you needbto getbto the opposite side. Natives were restless but amazing noise when Suarez scored. Then everyone was happy again, except the handful of people who left at 1-0. Good to see 'joder' and 'hijo de puta' working in Catalan as well. VI, what was bring sung about 'catalan national' or something to that effect- obvious sentiment but couldnt figure out the words.

That's not really true- a lot of institutional investors have conservative views on proper corporate governance and ethical practices and there is a good body of evidence that this approach can improve your long-term return.
-
Not in terms of running the company, but it won't help the share price if large institutional investors are clearly unhappy. Now that's either bad news for Mike if he plans to sit tight or to sell more, but great news if he fancies buying it all back.

If Chelsea playing at Wembley meant WNSL paying back their remaining debts and freeing the England team to play around the country again, then it would be a good thing overall.

'The club' is Mike Ashley. He's taking it from himself and giving it to himself, as uncomfortable as it sounds, it's the reality of the situation. And the metro tunnels are really not an issue, probably makes some of the engineering a bit more expensive, but its no real hindrance to development. It was first used by Freddie Fletcher as an excuse in the mid 90s and it was as much of a mistruth then as it is now.
-
He needs to repeat that game last season where he was shit hot for 20 minutes then tore his hamstring.
-
Pretty sure we've done London medicals before. Probably easier to get a last-minute appointment on a Saturday night as well.
-
Shane Ferguson's return papering over the absence of any new players. Things are getting desperate.
-
If people know there will be loads of tickets available for most games, then wavering renewers are more likely to chuck it, safe in the knowledge that there will be plenty of match-by-match tickets and they can pick and choose. That's the opposite of the business plan to lock people in to cheap tickets and keep them renewing through fear of missing out when things get better (which they never will). They might even keep those seats held back from new ST holders and then tempt the old holders back if we have a half-decent start to the season, making the seat available match-by-match in the interim.
-
Last time we appointed a guy fired from a League One club. This is progress!
-
A Qatari claiming other nations are 'Arab Pawns'. Where's that big ol' US airbase, chaps?
-
So by going down the price for the club would go up? The club is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it regardless of how much money Ashley has put in. And he'll only sell if he wants to. You can't have a tighter grip than what he already has.
-
Loaning more money doesn't change anything, he owns 100% of the club and is the only creditor

Wembley is always a killer for the players as its such a big pitch and a fast surface. A lot of players were out on the feet even after 90 minutes and they had to summon every ounce to get to the end of the game. That's exactly what they were- given the expected demographic for some events they must change some ladies bogs into gents by sticking a different sign over the top. At first I thought I'd wandered into the wrong one.
