For a start Collymore is a former team mate of Pardew so will probably stick up for him as part of the "players union". Secondly Talksport is designed to get you wound up and call in. I quite like a number of there presenters (Danny Kelly for example is excellent) but Collymore makes his living by being "outspoken" to generate debate. Ignore him and whatever you do, don't call up to argue with him!

We'll get relegated if we keep Pardew but not a chance we'd come straight back up again. As shit as we were in our relegation season, you knew in players like Barton, Nolan, Smith, Butt, Harper etc that there was a moral spine and that they would graft to get us back up. Spot on Ronaldo. Colo (2014 edition) and Williamson wouldn't get a game anywhere else so are obliged to be on Pardew's side. Colo's decline is incredible, he's been absolutely abysmal for months and I can't think of a more ineffective captain

The coaching argument clearly holds weight, but not convinced a professional footballer can go from good one weekend for his country, and then suddenly shit for his club a few days later. Don't understand why people want us to lose games at the moment. Ashley isn't bothered, if he was going to sack Pardew he'd have done it by now. He'll only do it this season if we are serious relegation trouble and he needs to protect our PL status. So surely it's better to just get behind them? I'm very strongly in the Pardew Out camp but can never hope we lose
