Good to see Shola specifically wasn't Pardewed. He's shit for everyone
-
I'm picturing a mix up at the independent, can only assume they forgot to book a columnist in time
-
Oscar is a good player at Chelsea but the difference in him last night when he's not under Mourinho orders was incredible
-
At least in England's defence, when Taylor was called up he was about the last possible English centre back left to be 4th/5th choice cover. I'd have Raheem Sterling at centre back over that muppet
-
Anyone remember Summer with Des, the film about Euro 96 with Neil Morrissey and Rachel something. Will have to dig out the video
-
Looks like he's about to have a heart attack in that photo Its like they were doing a walk and talk interview. Mick stops for breath and says "just take a fucking photo and let's be done"
-
Seems a bizarre way to get a payrise / new contract
-
I really like a lot of our younger players but this is very unlike Hodgson. Sterling, Lallana, Barkley, Shaw, Sterling and Henderson - whilst all fantastic this season can't have a dozen caps between them!
-
Sad that I want us to get hammered today
-
Sad that the bulk of his rise us probably due to the huge amount of free advertising Sports Direct gets at SJP.
-
Has anyone snapped up Gomis on a free yet? He is clearly our big signing and Pardew will say what a good deal it was, he would have cost £8m last year!
-
Yeh that passage of play had us in hysterics it was so beyond shite.
-
So poor, he makes Shola look mobile!
-
Steady on, I can remember some absolute dross. I'd say he's the most ineffective striker we've had since Chopra
-
If our strategy is focused on French players for the foreseeable, I'd be amazed of Graham Carr hasn't recommended a couple of managers from Ligue 1. They'll be cheap, used to working on small budgets, will be able to communicate properly with the dressing room and not be Alan Pardew. I don't watch Ligue 1 - any shouts?
-
A little bit of a winning mentality. That'll do for Mike Ashley
-
John Carver's sole contribution
-
Pardew literally has no idea how to reverse a bad run. This has been the same at all his clubs. For all his faults, SURELY Ashley must watch these games and think we can do better. There's having no ambition and there's being in free fall into the championship
-
Most ineffective striker we've had since Chopra I reckon. So poor
-
You'd hope after the Wigan FA Cup final that City won't let that happen again. The bulk of that side still intact
-
It's only really (some) black people that take any notice of the black bit IMO
-
Loved that 1-4 at Boro, Robert's gold boots.
-
Tbf, former black players seemingly being denied the opportunity to manage/coach is a bit of a thing in just about every sport save the NBA. How many black managers are there in the Football League? Hughton and Chris Powell? Is Terry Connor still managing somewhere? There aren't many but I'd be stunned if that was because they'd been discriminated against. It just so happens that a lot of the black managers have been hopeless or the ex-players a bit, erm, strange. Thinking back to old England teams - Ince (shite), Campbell (one crayon short of a full box), Davjd James (on tv), Heskey (no comment), Sinclair, Ian Wright, Darius Vassell,Carlton Palmer Sol Campbell can't be telling me that is a list of high calibre potential managers just not getting the chance.
-
Favourite away win? Aside from the obvious Sunderland ones, probably the 3-1 at Highbury that put us top
-
Can't fucking stand Sol Campbell. How many times does he cry the race card? He wasn't England captain, nor is he a manager because he's an absolute twat. Not because he's black.
