So there’s no more parachute money, negligible sponsorship and kit deals, small tv payments and potentially no fans buying tickets. How on earth are they going to survive? I mean forget about moving up the leagues, I mean how are they going to honour their bills without another loan? Loads of them are out of contract but but reserves and youths are some of the worst in the country so they can’t dip into that little pool of players to fill the squad out. They’re in so much shit man.

Just a slight variation on "once the players cross that white line that's it, it's up to them" or other such shit. Completely laying any blame at the players in advance because they were the other side of a line. Not me guv, I don't play the game etc

Nothing's been decided and it would be wrong to do so based on the balance of probabilities. Everyone knows they've virtually sewn the league up but it's setting a dangerous precedent if you decide things before they've actually happened. Where do you stop? Relegate the bottom 3? Award CL for the top 4? Who goes into the EL? With a quarter of a season to go? Is nothing going to change with regards to the league table? What about prize money? If you've already played all of the better teams you'll probably finish higher? It's a huge can of worms predicting what you think would probably have happened and it should be ruled out imo.

Timing's everything.

No way I'd keep Carroll. He's a crock. Completely finished. Agreed, he's finished at the top level. He's finished at every level. That's why he was available and without a club. The fact we gave him a contract and thousands of fans celebrated it speaks volumes about the amount of fucking nuggets that follow us.

A few weeks ago I was firmly in the "just finish the season off whenever" but I've changed my mind. There's been such a delay that it wouldn't even feel like the same season, too much time has gone by and it would be grossly unfair to send teams down when some squads are more affected than others, neutral venues, losing home advantage etc. It's just a shit and unfair way to end things. There isn't a best way of deciding it so I now think they should just scrub everything and start the next season when it's safe too. Some clubs will be rightly pissed off, some clubs will be glad of having another chance but I think it's the least worst option right now.

He's arguably had 1 good season, 17-18. He's talented obviously but he's one to very much avoid, his numbers since that Indian summer are wretched. He'll sign one more big contract in his career and I hope it's not with us.

I think that's a bit ridiculous and presumably based on nowt other than the fact he uses Instagram. His account is basically all football stuf n'all. You have to be FUCKING AMAZING at football to play in the Premier League / at the World Cup. It's all relative I know but the point is I don't think you get there by dossing it, even those who aren't great by PL standards. Fair comment. I didn't want to come across as a bit Sounessy I just think the lad has got his priorities a bit mixed up. When he's in the news its 50/50 between stuff he's done on the park or off it. He's obviously got talent but I think in 5 years time he'll be a cautionary tale. 'You don't want to end up like Jesse Lingard' type of thing. He's got a maximum of 6 seasons left before he's done, wonder what his legacy will be.
