One slight positive is the fact we still have to play all of the teams around us (4 of them at home) and if we get a good set of results in those 6 fixtures then we'll probably stay up. The 4 sides we've played twice are all in the current top 10.

Ashley can continue to sanction money to be spent on forwards and midfielders for the next 10 years but he'll never understand the fact that a relatively small investment (compensation and wages) on a proper manager would be the best investment he could make. You can buy Berahino for £20m or whatever and he'll score a few goals but investing £10m on a good manager will see the club about 10 places higher. He's thick as fuck.
  3. Great game, I'm just annoyed I had to want Liverpool to win it.
  4. To lose from being 3-1 up with about half an hour is going to be massive blow for that team.

As a signing it's barely worthy of venturing an opinion tbh. He's been signed as a last resort if they lose 2 keepers between now and May and almost certainly won't even play for them. The only positive of him signing is it highlights the absolute retards (a) that follow both teams and (b) can sort of use the internet.
  6. When you're in a slump, your strikers are mis-firing a bit and you could do with a confidence booster then there is no better fixture to have than Newcastle (H). We've rolled over time and time again in this situation and I'm fairly confident we'll do so again. I was encouraged by what I saw in the first half last week but away from SJP is another matter, 5 away goals in total and it's the arse end of January man.
  7. Shifted all of the attention on to his keeper due to a couple of mistakes and he comes out of it smelling of roses. People will now connect Palace's poor form with his 2 mistakes and Pardew has started it all. Most managers would be supportive and protect the bloke, this cunt uses it as an opportunity to deflect the criticism away from himself, it's classic Pardew. Longest spell without a goal for 18 years? Keeper's fault. Spineless, spiteful, duplicitous and utterly selfish. He's absolutely rotten.

    Andros Townsend

Might watch a Harry Potter whilst listening to a David Bowie album.
  10. Hope when he licked the envelopes of his Christmas cards he got a massive paper cut right across his lying, forked tongue.

Been in there all season bar 1 week (end Nov).
  12. Sky source happens to be Martin Tyler who mentioned in on his commentary on alternative streams....
  13. He could turn out to be the biggest cunt in the league and his value would still hold fairly firm. Young, proven, talented, English striker = north of £15m until he's 27.
  14. It was outrageous like, probably one of the best ball I've seen a Newcastle player make in years. Remember watching Ben Arfa kill a pass like that stone dead under his boot a few years ago. Nearly came.
  15. That's absolutely fuck all from Shelvey on Valencia. Nothing at all.
  16. Teflon Pardew strikes again. What an utter cunt, man.
  17. His link up play could be out of this world but he needs to start finishing some of the gilt-edged chances he's getting. Forget adjusting to the league, the language barrier and all that shit, he's either missing the target or hitting it straight at the keeper and it's got to stop. I like him, I think he'll get even better but he's got to score more.

Only got to play 3 of the current top 6 in the remaining fixtures too. Little things but it's looking brighter than it was a week or so ago.

Mildly encouraged by what I watched today. Shelvey is a bit of a game-changer is so much as he gives us something we've not seen for a couple of years, he could be the difference. I'm back down to a 4.
  20. Kone has just asked for an extra £10k a week.
  21. Hope Jackie Chan kicks him into the path of a combine harvester.
  22. I think Townsend is decent tbh. I'm not saying he'll come in and transform the team and score/create a load of goals but he's decent enough out there, not sure the £12m or whatever couldn't be better spent but he'd be another option and could mean moving Sissoko and/or Wijnaldum inside a bit or behind the striker. I'm happily admit I'm looking for positives because I'm getting thoroughly sick of hating the club and the players.
