    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Can't begrudge Olise that move tbh, massive club with a mint tradition and history and he'll be unbelievable over there. Fair play to him, hope he smashes it
  2. The situation hasn't changed in months now, if he wanted to resolve it he could pick up the phone and offer a more reasonable figure as compensation - it's that straightforward. Offering a pittance then moaning when it's not immediately accepted makes him look ridiculous especially when he's twisting on in public every week. Not suggesting he should offer exactly what are asking for but it's got to at least half to even start a negotiation? Surely he knows how deals are made and concessions are usually made on both sides, that's how normal people do things, this cunt though - fuck me. What a wanker
  3. I'd love to see this English squad with a manager who had a bit of belief in them and encouraged them to go forward and play aggressively. We need to play on the front foot (apologies for the Pardew-ism), this set of midfielders and attackers are fucking mint but they're constantly being stifled by the dour negative fucker in the dugout who is seemingly scared shitless of letting them get at team. Cut them loose ffs. It's infuriating seeing the same issues game after game after game. Absolutely sure Southgate will be satisfied with that - top of the group and looking good to qualify. Type of bloke who opens a party-popper directly into the bin. This is just fucking dreadful to watch
  4. Got very little faith in Southgate to have the nous and/or bollocks to sort this. He needs to both figure this wank out and have the bottle to upset a few of his favourite lads and start addressing the obvious issues. He's way too loyal and we're way to predictable, these are not new problems we're seeing
  5. Can someone please take Shearer off comms? He's painfully bad at this. Sounds like the know-nowt gobshite who props the bar up
  6. This half is a classic example of why I'd love to see Southgate at Man U. Turgid, passive, dull and insipid wank football
  7. Baresi Platini Xavi Van Basten And if we're including a German to make a 5-a-side team then it would be Matthaus
  8. Ridiculous from Mbappe but if the ref had just allowed the subs on then it would never have happened
  9. Aye, I think I'll leave the financial side of things up to the people actually running the place tbh. The Swiss Ramble does a lot of brilliant work and he's a good read but he's basing everything off predictions - which is fair enough as he hasn't got the numbers yet. The people running the place know it to the penny and the fact that no-one has been sold (yet) AND we're widely reported to be in a position to potentially drop circa £75m on Trafford and Olise doesn't really stack up either. That's without mentioning the 'emergency' Training kit sponsor I'm sure they've still got up their sleeve if it gets really tight. I think we'll have to wait until July before we spend but I'm not remotely concerned as of yet
  10. I honestly think it's his weight, he looks enormous. He's always have a big physique but he seemed to balloon at Man U, went to Inter(?) slimmed right down and looked amazing for a year or 2. He now looks like he'd give the Hungary #9 a run jog for his money
  11. Do like the flexibility the team has, there's no distinct clear formation and it's nice to see. They're a time to be rigid and organised but there's also a time to trust players to be intelligent enough to almost wing it and cover for each other. This is much more like what I want to see from that front 6
  12. Serbs look fucking huge. Got some proper units in there
  13. They're threatening to walk away from a deal Everton (I'm pretty sure) want no part of
  14. Gave me a tenner but if it comes in it'll pay for my weekend bets, I don't bet big I'll do the Musiala one too fwiw
  15. McSauce foul is evens on PP
  16. Yeah, it's fine to go in low at first but it's got to be reasonable and in the same ballpark. Can imagine Everton are looking for at least double that, not saying they'll get it or he's worth it, but going in at 35 is ridiculous, it's straight out of the Ashley playbook and screams smalltime, tyre-kicking, time-wasting arseholes. Wonder if he's doing the bidding himself?
  17. Who knows? Maybe he thought he needed to fight for his place? Maybe it wasn't made clear to him that he was now surplus to requirements? I have no idea, honestly But I think if he stays - which he's perfectly entitled to btw - then he'll see his contract run out and he'll be trying to get a new club having played virtually no football from 2024 to 2026. That's a tough sell for any agent. It's clear we're after a shiny new RW and he'll have limited playing time for the next 2 years. I think he needs the move as much as we need the cash tbph

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Very similar to the Tosin thread tbh - they can offer things we simply can't match, namely bigger wages, better location and European football (next season). I'd love him to sign but I can't see it happening unfortunately
  19. So his realistic options are - sit it out here for 2 years whilst barely playing and having a poor chance of a decent contract from another club in 2026 OR move now and sign one last big contract worth enough that makes playing in Saudi worthwhile. No brainer imo. Moving is the sensible choice

Olise would be ridiculous up here, worth an extra 8 or 9 points by himself imo. Really encouraging that we've had the bollocks to go for it and inquire about him but I think he'll have a few better offers from other clubs and he'll end up elsewhere unfortunately. Still, nice to see ambition and competing with huge clubs for excellent players, we're getting there. Also means we must have some decent coin to spend this summer
