Won the last 4, who gives a fuck? Just one of those days. Nothing went for us etc.
-
Soft as shite. About 8 bodies back in the box defending and he's got no-one within 5 yards of him to knock it in.
-
Must be a right twat having to play another team from your division each week like.
-
What has happened to this bloke?
-
dunno wba are a good side and its only their 2nd loss away from home (which includes trips to old trafford and stamford bridge) so not sure we should just be killing them off. Its a very good win Agree. I was really pissed off with the way we allowed Norwich back into the game last week but thought we kept pressing today and never stopped looking to get at them. No complaints from me. We allowed Norwich time and space to get a foothold into the game last week. Today West Brom stepped it up a gear once they went behind, they started playing a bit more aggressively and get themselves back into it as opposed to us allowing them back into it.

If you go to block an obviously incoming shot with your arm stretched out perpendicular to your body and the ball hits it, I don't think you can complain if the ref gives a penalty. Dunno TBH, I would only give it where the guy actually handles it on purpose. Obviously it's hard to know for sure, and harder in the instances where the arm is up. I just think it's annoying that the debate is usually in the wrong terms. Sure they altered the wording of the rule recently. Should have been a pen imo.

Was just going to post this. He was shocking, thankfully it didn't cost us 2 points but he was just awful for both sides. His interpretation of the advantage rule needs to be questioned by his boss. Fouls given for us weren't for them and vice versa, he wasn't biased he was just complete pigshit. Worst performance on the park including the 22 players.

Yep. Ruined his reputation at the only club who'll give a fuck about him once he hangs up his gloves. Aye, ruined it so much he got a good reception at Harpers testimonial. Who gives a fuck if he waited til the end of the window, we would never have bought a keeper anyway given Harper was there. It's almost as laughable as Bassong getting booed despite coming in for peanuts, doing a goodish job and being sold to a PL team after we went down for £8m. Getting on the same victim complex the board have anytime anyone leaves and the shady PR stories start slipping our pre/post move. Nah, just him tbh. Players move on, that's par for the course, how and when then do it make a difference. He bailed out as soon as he saw the cash. Speaks volumes of him.

He did, aye. 30th January 2009. Nice of him.
-
As I say, if he didn't want to play for Newcastle any more then fair enough, it happens. Find it hard to believe that a move to the most affluent club on the continent happens purely by chance and I think he and his agent had it sorted for weeks in advance of the actual move. The fact he hung on, perhaps feigning injury in the process, to collect his 'loyalty' payment before handing in a formal request taints his entire time here imo. You want out? Fine. Do it the right way, up front and above board. He failed to. Miserably.
-
You must hate Colo, then, dude. Shay put up with almost half a decade of cunts like Souness, Roeder, Allardyce and Kinnear. Don't blame him for wanting away, if he's fucked off with things then fair enough. Why wait until 30th January to formally ask for a transfer though? If he was that unhappy then why didn't he ask to leave right at the start of the window? Got no problem with someone who doesn't want to play for the club but at least leave in the right way, just do it properly. The whole thing smacked of greed and forcing through a move that him and his agent had been planning for fucking weeks. I judge people by how they react when he chips are down and he couldn't get away quick enough once it looked dodgy. He had every right to move on but I've got every right to think he's a bit a wanker for going about it in the way he did.
-
Somehow, magically, managed to wangle himself a move away from the club just when we needed him most. Cheers Shay. Fuck him.
-
He'd have been perfect 5 years ago but it's bargepole time now imo. Some of the ricks he dropped for QPR last season were ridiculous.
-
Left foot curled into the corner from the D iirc.
-
Yep, at a corner about 3 minutes into the game. Got dicked 4-1 as a result.
-
He's a grafter and I've got all the time in the world for grafters. Works hard, protects his full back, can do a bit on the ball, chips in with the odd goal here and there and doesn't whinge when he's not playing. A million quid? Fucking bargain, good on him.

Picture taken 5 seconds prior to an aggressive prostate examination.

Fucking hell.
-
Why are they still attacking?
-
Nah, the big man is up in the upper tier.
-
65. Reet ugly, lanky fucker.

Got away with that one. Result shouldn't have even been in question with 15 minutes to play. Why we can't simply go out and try to score more goals to finish a team off, rather than just sit and hand the initiative/momentum to a poor team, I don't know. Scoring a third would have killed that game stone dead and we could have done whatever we liked - rest a few legs, give a young player a bit of pitch-time etc. But no, we're just content to sit, hold our shape, go negative as fuck and allow the opposition time and space to create problems. It's happened time and time again, sometimes we get away with it and sometimes we don't, we got away with it today. Drag 11 men back to defend a corner and still allow him a free header without any cunt on the post. Fuck off man.
