He is? For me he's probably their best player if we disregard De Gea. van Persie has been disappointing despite scoring goals, Mata hasn't done much and the rest is bad. De Gea or Rooney without a doubt for me. I was thinking more Yaya and Aguero. I'd probably put Kompany in there too tbh. I think people talk about positions though, or at least I am since I think it's impossible to compare Kompany to Rooney. Fair enough. I think Kompany is a better defender than Rooney is a forward. It's about how well they do their primary jobs imo.

All part of the con. Spend a bit of money early on, make out they've got ambition, trick a few mugs into carrying on with their season tickets then balance the books later on by selling Ben Arfa and Debuchy. This is all an aside from remembering that the first £19m spent is simply the Cabaye money. Anything after that comes from the previous 2 years worth of TV money that was never spent. The lack of investment is fucking criminal.
-
Still maintain they'll be lucky to make it out of the group. So pedestrian going forward and a bit shaky at the back.
-
Yep, £6.5m is ok, but if we were bidding for a player who was worth it and the team selling wanted £6.5m, we would bid £4m. It's so transparent it's insulting. But it's not to sizeable body of our support. That's the annoying thing, they fucking buy it. They fall for it time after time. Feigned ambition.
-
More 'substantial' bids made safe in the knowledge they'll never be accepted and the gullible idiots are conned once more. It's fucking pathetic.

Got my doubts as to the accuracy of it but even if it is true then it'll just alert proper clubs as to the rough valuation of him.
-
They're letting go lots of very ordinary players and replacing them with another batch of very ordinary ones. The net effect will be negligible. It's like for like imo.

"collapse of a wall" makes it sound like an accident. Walls don't just collapse, there was a reason why it collapsed....

You watched us right? It's no feat being good against us Leffe trying to make us change our minds on Bentaleb cause he played well against us this season. Even Pardew would run the show against our midfield if he could coach us and play against us at the same time. A Pardew vs Pardew game would be something to behold. I sometimes wonder what it would be like to hire 2 private investigators and ask them to follow the other then report back.
-
What was the question though? He could be talking about the dodgy chicken madras he had last night and needing a horror shit to expel it. Obviously NPW.....
-
We never held his registration and he was never 'our' player. We borrowed his services for a year which was beneficial for all parties concerned. Not saying Remy acted well but I can understand where he's coming from. There was nothing to be gained in playing that match for NUFC as far as he was concerned and his priority became staying fit for the World Cup. Why should he give a fuck about a meaningless match?

This is true. I assume the Nigerians thought a neutral venue in London was a better bet and they're probably right tbh.

Isn't Hampden Park closed for a bit? Sure they played the cup final at Parkhead.

The daft thing is that if the deliberate plan of holding positions and being defensively minded simply isn't working anyway. We concede goals hand over fist even though they're all told to hold their shape, get behind the ball and track men back. Had it been successful and we kept loads of clean sheet then there would be some merit to it but it's the worst of both worlds and has been for ages. We don't attack with any purpose or intent and can't keep them out at the other end too. And none of that is anything whatsoever to do with Ashley, this is squarely Pardew's fault and responsibility. We look shit and it's 100% down to him and his mismanagement of his squad.
-
If I saw him out in the open I'd smack the smarmy cunt into next Friday. He's fucking abhorrent.
-
It's an exact parody of the thing we did. The fucking cunt. Has he forgotten how the entire home crowd kept him rooted to his bench such was his unpopularity? Has he forgotten how we singularly collapsed for an entire half-season? Has he forgotten how he ensured we lost 3 derbies off the bounce for the first time in about half a century? Has he forgotten how he managed to lose 6 PL games for the first time in decades? What an repulsive fucking piece of shit he is.

Perfectly happy to go with Armstrong until Cisse's kneecap mends. Don't need more than 2 anyway. 'Squad'. Pffftt.
-
Make that 8.
-
Can sort you out with another 6 of those chap.
-
Struggling to recall anything he actually did. Each appearance was instantly forgettable.
-
Looks shopped to me.

Didn't Chelsea sell Mata for the exact amount they needed to avoid punishment under FFP too?
-
Once he signs for a proper football club he'll do exceptionally well for himself. He's a very good striker who clearly wants to fulfil his potential, fair play to him. No axe to grind, he was only ever going to be here for a year, he's ambitious and thus we never stood a chance of signing him permanently.

Absolutely majestic thread title. Been too long in coming, not Shola's fault he's managed to con so many managers into persevering and I've got no doubt he's a 'good lad' but as a professional footballer he's been pigshit for years now. Won't miss him in the slightest.
