  1. Kind of the same opinion, it's a glorious chance to sew it up today but it's a really difficult fixture. Hard to know how they'll react to going out of the CL but I think Emery will rotate a bit and it'll be a tough game regardless. I'd absolutely snap your hand off for a point but a loss isn't the end of the world either
  2. Hoping Everton can summon up a bit of fight this afternoon knowing they've only got 3 more games left at Goodison. Go out on a bit of a high and send their fans home happy with one last big scalp etc

I just don't understand how they can willingly and obviously completely take their collective foot off the gas then expect to immediately turn it back on again as soon as the play-offs start. I can understand why they're tempted to do it but just assuming they can flick the switch back on against teams who've been running through walls just to get into the play-offs is dangerous and I think it'll backfire. Sure, they'll be rested, but they'll be up against teams in good form and with momentum Meh, it's their problem, not ours
  5. The shithousing will be amazing in the next 15 minutes
  6. So where is VAR in that incident then? Clear and obvious mistake made but no mention of it being looked at again and checked? Why does it only work in one direction?
  7. Bullshit red, another undeserved lifeline for the talentless fucks
  8. They've completely shit the bed here
  9. Spurs vs Man U in a CL shit-off Final would be pure
  10. Maddison got knocked the fuck out. No way he should have even carried on after that whack, doctors and medical staff should be shot with shit
  11. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th + potentially MU or TH in ChL 6th, 7 or Palace in EurL 7th or 8th ConL (depending on Palace winning/losing the FA Cup) That correct? Not sure who gets the EL place if Chelsea win the ConL but finish 8th?
  12. His experience and versatility will be invaluable next season, more games means more bodies and he'd be ideal to rotate in and out at RB and LB. No idea how close he was to being sold in January but he's looked back to his best recently, it's like having 2 captains out there He did look to be struggling on the park before Xmas and I too was one of those who thought that moving him on would have been a good move, happy to admit I got that totally wrong, he's been excellent. We 100% need this Trippier next season too
  13. Currently 1/20 to finish top 5. Obviously that's just what the bookies think and isn't indicative of the exact probability. It'll also come right back in if we were to lose on Saturday, but right now we're looking very very secure
  14. Chelsea aren't catching us now, not a chance they make up that 5 point gap given how we're both playing with only 6 games left, they're on the manager's back and moaning about how shit they look. They also probably have 5 more European games to fit in between now and the end of the season. Which leaves Villa. Simply avoid defeat (easier than it sounds I know) on Saturday and I think we can rule them out too. We're essentially 6 points ahead given the GD and we'd only have another 5 games to play. We could all but ice it by 8pm Saturday imo. And that's not even mentioning the fact that Chelsea play Forest and Villa need to go to Man City too. Still think we'll finish 4th but that win last night was huge, it looked a tricky fixture on paper but we just bulldozed them bumping up the GD in the process, +8 for the week so far
  15. Please withdraw Joelinton. That is all
  16. He's absolutely fucking shit
  17. Bit like Man U at the weekend I think Palace's focus will be on other games rather than the league. Not often they get to play at Wembley in an FA Cup semi, big chance of making a final too - that's where their priorities should be really. Losing a game to Newcastle is neither here nor there to them in the big picture. They played really well at City for the first 20 mins and caused loads of issues down their right hand side. Tino, Joelinton and Barnes will need to be switched on from the first whistle. Once City did eventually click I thought Palace heads dropped a bit. Hoping we take the lead and I think they'll start looking at the SF, they'll not want to pick up another injury like Zirkzee did
  18. Pretty sure I wanted Fonseca or Emery before Howe iirc. I'd have welcomed anyone at the time though as whoever got the job wouldn't have been called Steve Bruce. Think I was fairly neutral and ambivalent to Howe at the time
  19. We'd need to know what she was responsible for first. However, being the COO of one of the biggest shitshows we've seen in years doesn't scream excellence. She may well have had little/nothing to do with the circus that club has become but I'd suggest her title means she was heavily involved. Obviously I'm looking at it from the outside and she could have been ignored, undermined or whatever, we don't know enough. Gut instinct is to run a mile from anyone remotely influencial in the demise of Man U
  20. We've been largely fantastic for about 4 months now, winning 19 of 24 or something like that. We're in a brilliant position but it's inevitable we're going to start dropping points, no team just wins each week. It's completely normal for the odd draw or loss to happen, we're long overdue a draw, last one was Liverpool 3-3. We're rightly full of confidence and shouldn't be scared of anyone but the law of averages suggests we're due a dip in results at some point. I still think we'll finish 4th but we'll still be looking over our shoulders in the second half of the Everton game. It'll be that tight imo
  21. They look genuinely gutted. Bodes well for Saturday, this will be hanging over them for a while, that's a bad blow for them mentally. Not saying they're shit or it'll be easy, quite the opposite tbh, but losing like that tonight will really hurt them
