Dave was livid about this btw.
  2. He does come across in that interview as being a bit shell-shocked (and not just from the result either). Reckon he'd had a "meeting" only seconds beforehand with the new owners. Looks like he's had the shits put up him big time. The body language is awful and deflection of any blame at the end is the clincher for me. He's on borrowed time.

    Wayne Rooney

City will go for him just for the craic.
  4. He's off. No manager as experienced as him comes out with shite like that. I'm guessing he's probably already been told the new owners want their own bloke in and as soon as they get him lined up he's getting the bullet.

I wish more English players would leave tbh, we're so bloody insular. and greedy. The Premier League clubs pay the big wages so in many ways I can understand them staying and earning more money rather than going abroad for less money. Depends on the players and their priorities I suppose.
  6. Agree totally. It would be daft to react and sack him but I think a few are forgetting who makes the decisions.

Only a handful of clubs who could afford him. Would love to see him go to Barca though.
  8. He's not out for the count, but if he has a superhero act then it needs to come out sharpish. It's also worth mentioning that if we actually go out and beat Sunderland then the pressure will be off. Massive game for Hughton personally and the club.
  9. Lose the derby playing as poorly as we did yesterday and he's really struggling. Unfortunately, the results against Blackpool, Stoke and Wigan mean that we really now need to win the derby. Had we taken points from those 3 games then the pressure wouldn't be there. Not convinced he's going to get the reaction from his players he needs either if I'm being totally honest. I realise I'm being very negative also.
  10. It may be drivel but Ashley's track record of making important football decisions is pretty bad. It should be ridiculous but we all know who's got his finger on the trigger.
  11. Don't hate the lad but he's just so obviously not good enough to play at this level. He's a liability, managers know it and target him. Needs to be dropped or sold, don't particularly care which one tbh.
  12. The results and performances are starting to look like us when we went down. Not all hughton's fault but ultimately he carries the can as manager. Better managers than him have been binned and I wouldn't be at all surprised if ashley sacked him before xmas.

I'd be less annoyed if I knew that someone had put a decent sum of money into the club for the right to paint their logo all over the shop.
  14. Unconvincing 2-1 win to paper over the cracks for a week or two.
  15. You can bet the players who haven't even looked remotely interested in playing for Liverpool will suddenly flip the switch and play like their lives depended on it. The likes of Gerrard and Torres will win them this game and they'll shoot up the league. Fickle, cheating wankers that they are.
  16. Can't see too much of what they have done wrong to be hopnest. Many club owners borrow money against the business after they have just bought them, the same in a lot of companies that get taken over. The Liverpool fans are only making a big deal out of it because they have slipped out of the top 4. Who ever takes them over I hope they finish the job off, don't invest in new players or a new stadium and just settle for being "Liverpool, the most successful club in England for now". Something isn't right with this board and the American take over though, This other guy from the far east has offerd more money and has said that he has money for the team on top of that, I don't remember anything liek that coming from the Americans, it's obviouse the board are getting a backhander on this deal with the Americans. Wow. Not sure where to start. I'll have me tea first.
  17. Can't stand Liverpool but it's got to be said that Hicks and Gillett come out of this mess looking like a pair of absolute cunts tbh.

    Sunderland...

    It's a big 'if', granted.

    Sunderland...

Be rather funny if Davies comes straight in and gets a couple to knock Bent further down the pecking order.
  20. Arsenal, Villa and Everton. Sucker for a bit of history and tradition I guess.
  21. Sunderland, Liverpol and Blackburn. The Blackburn one is purely down to the smarmy, Easter Island headed cunt managing them.
  22. Liverpool being out of the Champions League spotlight for any length of time is bound to have an impact on the following they have. They're still a massive club obviously but if City get their feet under the table then Liverpool will suffer.
  23. Krul would have saved that. and that one...
  24. Hang on, the 2 cats who actually own the club can be forced to sell it against their wishes by the 3 other members of the board? How fucked up is that?
  25. I thought I couldn't possibly hate them any more than I currently do.
