Who do you suggest like? David Wheater supposedly linked with us if Taylor goes. Wheater's contract is also up at the end of the season. Don't see much different between the two. £25k a week probably.

to be fair he done it the back end of last season, it was only the thought of who we were palying that stopped us thinking it. for me the goal at doncaster was when i thought he's the real deal. To make the step up and lead the line against the best defenders in the country whilst still making and scoring goals is something else though. Plenty of good strikers have filled their boots in Div 1 but haven't done it. You were absolutely right btw.

Carroll's been an absolute revelation this season. He's developed so much in the last 12 months and is a genuine threat for any defence in the country atm. He's got 9 PL goals so far and will keep on scoring because no-one can handle him in this form. He's been utterly superb.

The tactic worked so I suppose it was fair enough. It was seeing the likes of Anelka and Malouda dropping deeper and getting involved which was the frustrating part! They looked dangerous when they did it and started opening us up in the last 15 mins or so. The end justifies the means though.

wouldn't that time and space be partly down to their movement ? Partly yeah. The Sunderland midfield didn't give them the space we did though. I'm not complaining about the result or performance it was just a bit frustrating seeing us back off time and again and let quality players run at us without any pressure.

The amount of time and space that was given to Anelka, Malouda and Drogba was ridculous. Very happy with the point and they're a quality team but we've got to put more pressure on them than that.
