Promotion is a stepping stone, not an end in itself. If Hughton is bowing to player power now we’ll be f***ed the next time the going gets tough. It's the only thing that matters for the time being. Hughton can deal with it after we're confirmed as being up. If that means selling one or the other, or both, then fair enough. If dropping Carroll for a game or two is going to us cost promotion when were ten points clear of third with 8 games to go, our position in the league must be a fluke. As always with Ashley’s NUFC we have no idea what is going on, but there was always going to be more to this than Taylor’s a c*** so everything is OK. I'm actually quite pleased that NUFC haven't commented on the incident. Sometimes saying nowt is the right decision. I hope it's dealt with 'in-house'. We've washed our dirty linen in public far too often under previous chairmen in the not-so-distant-past... Ignorance is bliss? I'd rather the club said nothing than revealed all of the gory details about what went on. I'd much rather we continued winning games with a settled side for the time being and did whatever needed to be done when it suited us rather than the media.

i'll bet you a pint he has a full england cap before december 31st 2011. I'll have some of that.

The club comes first. I've not got a problem with Hughton picking him whilst he's still doing the business. Promotion is the ultimate priority this season and playing a toerag who's scoring the goals to win us the points to get back up is justified imo. Deal with the situation in the summer and move one of them on in the summer if need be but let's get the club promoted first.

If Andy Carroll plays for England so can I, If Andy Carroll plays for England so can I, If Andy Carrol plays for England, Andy Carroll plays for England, If Andy Carroll plays for England so can I.

Who decides what the strongest team is though?
-
Wenger should have gone for Given last January when he was trying to engineer a move away. With him in nets they'd be top of the league imo.

Loads of people, including myself, said similar things when she was banging on about the Keegan situation. Turned out she was spot on...
-
Hope you're taking the piss? They're even worse than Scunthorpe. We shouldn't win - we should demolish them.
-
Chelsea drew with Blackburn the other week. True. But we needed to win them all, we were behind as it was. You'll get used to the trophyless seasons eventually We're too far off. It's Chelsea's league. A draw when they play each other isn't beyond the realms of possibility.... Still a tough task to win the rest though.
-
We've had plenty of late equalisers/winners ourselves. I'd have settled for a draw for them before they kicked off. A point, a better GD and 2 games in hand is still a pretty nice position to be in.
-
Got some really tough fixtures left. Then again, most fixtures are tough WHEN YOU'RE FUCKING SHIT.
-
They're in freefall. What's their run in like? Don't post it, I'll have a look myself.

Could be another Cardiff if we get an early one. -

Earnshaw, Boyd and Blackstock are capable of pulling something out of the bag for them. Need to keep and use the ball well and starve them of their supply. -
He did that before and the thick twats fined him. They obviously knew better...
-
Interesting to notice that most of the Wolves team that beat West Ham this week played in the game against Man U earlier this season when they got fined for fielding a 'weakened' team. Wonder if they'll get fined again? Surely if the Premier League are going to be consistent then they need to fine them again for playing these, obviously, inferior and inadequate players. To do anything less would be ridiculously inconsistent....

To be fair they have won the European Cup twice. Thats my point, if they're such a big club, then they shouldnt celebrate like they've won the European cup again after beating little old newcastle. Only club to have won more European Cups than domestic league titles iirc. -
Poor show if that's true. Ipswich gave him a chance to get back into management and have backed him against his critics. He still owes them. Managing Celtic or Rangers must be the most unrewarding for a manager. You're up against only one serious rival in your domestic league, and coming second is failure. What's more, you have no chance of succeeding in European competition any more. Where's the fun in that? Finishing first and rubbing Rangers' noses in it.

Keane to Celtic. Mariner to Ipswich. Fuck knows to Plymouth.

Nearly as cheesy as the spunky 'TO DARE IS TO DO' shite along the advertising hoardings. Nearly.

3-1. 50k in the stands and promotion virtually wrapped up. Definitely a match to look forward to. -
That's a massive 3 points for us tonight. Really thought we'd get turned over, what with the Carroll situation and our patched-up back 4 against a canny Doncaster team on their own patch. We can see the line now.
