  1. Less games = less money = never happen. Who gives a fuck what it looks like as long as it brings the £££ in?
  2. Went into work today and didn't even mention the game at all to them. They were obviously expecting me to give it out but I played it down which, surprisingly, made them even more annoyed. Couldn't keep it going for too long and went for the 'sarcastic twat' angle on things.
  3. When you've just been cunted 5-1 by your local rivals, the game you'd really want next is Stoke. [/raises a glass for horrific injuries and sendings-off]
  4. Was superb. Couldn't fault his performance at all, he did the lot. First player I'd have given a 10/10 rating for this season. Was faultless from start to finish.

    Sunderland...

Wouldn't give a bucket of piss for the opinion of Barry Geldening tbh, nor any other 'football journalist'. They're cunts.

    Titus Bramble

Cast-iron red btw. Carroll's next touch of the ball was a strike on goal. Forget the 'last man' shite, Carroll was in on goal and he denied a clear goal-scoring opportunity. He was turboshit.
  7. Was sensational today. I've slagged the bloke off more than most but he really played today. Hats off to him.
  8. Dowd went to his pocket and would have given him a straight red had he not had a few seconds to calm down and take stock. Should have been a red. Easily.
  9. http://www.skysports.com/football/match_video/0,26719,11065_3293502,00.html Fanzone reaction. Fucking magic.
  10. No he didn't. He shrugged his shoulders. Since when has a shrug of the shoulders been the sign for play on? play on is when the ref puts both arms out infornt and Clattenburg never did that once. The ref has to give a clear indication/sign that he's waving play on so the player understands fully. A shrug of the shoulders is not play on. How long has Gomes been playing professional football? The bloke knew he picked the ball up and he should have distributed it asap. He doesn't need to be told to 'play on' by the ref or anyone else because it was so blatantly obvious that it was a case of the keeper just getting the game restarted by bowling it out or kicking it from his hands. I do think the ref was wrong to let it stand but to absolve Gomes of any blame is fucking bonkers. They both fucked up.

    Sunderland...

'Bent and 10 others' FC. No better than Barsnley and Coventry. They are literally 1 injury away from being relegated to the CCC. They've got Bent and absolutely NOTHING else. Rubbish team, rubbish fans and they still walk in our shadow.
  12. I'd be astonished if there wasn't any bother. Never seen as many arseholes looking for bother before a game. Toon was jammed with cunts of every type including and inordinate number of Barbour jackets and hair gel.
  13. Got absolutely everything right today. Faultless.
  14. It'll take a few days for me to take in and for me to be able to comment sensibly about it today. I've never experienced anything like this in all my days of being a football fan. To be 5-0 up against the team you want to beat the most and watch us pass it round against their 10 men is just the thing that dreams are made of. I have no words. Yet. Just unbelievable.
  15. Don't have words atm. Let me get back behind a keyboard and digest it and i'll be right back. Unbelievable.
  16. Could well happen with Cautious Chris. I'd start with 2 up top but he might decide to play Nolan behind Carroll and match them in the middle of the park. Horses for courses.
  17. Aye, the nerves have gone for me too, just looking forward to the game and the occasion now. Just got to hope the lads fight all the way and don't let us down. It's out of our hands now and there's no point in worrying or panicking.
  18. The ref gave the advantage to Gomes to keep the game flowing and Spurs were in a good position to get a quick break on which was the right decision. I'd expect every ref to ask the keeper simply to play on and keep the game going without a free-kick being taken. Gomes then fucks up by dropping the ball in front of him and appearing to take a free-kick, he should have just got rid of it. The ref fucks up by just allowing it to happen an not bringing it back once Nani puts it in the net. Common sense says that it shouldn't, in the spirit of the game, be allowed to stand. He then has another chance to speak to his linesman to get it right and fails to get it right again. Both Clattenburg and Gomes are at fault. I can see why it was allowed but it's not the right way to go about things.

The table is still tight enough so that if they do get their act together and win a few on the bounce they'll be looking at consolidating and making a go at 6th and the play-offs. Easier said than done though obviously.
  20. Yep. With 5 minutes to go and chasing the game he should be getting rid of that ball asap. If he'd slung it out there was a break on, never mind waiting and rolling it out in front of him. Was a very poor decision from Clattenburg but I can see why it was given.
  21. I can see both sides of it. It's a definite handball but if Gomes has picked it up then play should just continue and you play to the whistle. That said it's a bit fucking snidey of Nani to just roll it in after Gomes drops it down. The lino has to be stronger though.
