  1. One of the most refrehing things about this season is the lack of media 'exclusives' and 'relevations' from the boss and Ashley. They've let the football do the talking and have played everything with a flat bat - for which they both deserve credit. Not sure why Hughton is suddenly giving the rags the time of day now tbh.
  2. The away kit is the one they are wearing for the FA Cup final, the home one will never be worn. You mean the one they've already worn for the semi-final?
  3. height=400 width=300http://www.sporting-heroes.net/files_football/SPEEDIE_David_1984_GH_R.jpg[/img] Horrible little wanker. In fact, to my embarrassment, I was dragged along by red and white mates to a mackem game and was stood about 10 yards from this incident: Apparently Bennett ran off quickly and waited for Speedie in the tunnel and had another go at him. Speedie got dogs abuse for the whole time he was on the park.
  4. Think Birmingham paid to loan him, so they have a right to keep him if they choose. and like city need the money. for how much they got it would have been insurance in case of this. to leave yourselves with only 2 keepers in their position (financially and going for a champs league spot) is pretty stupid. Like I asked earlier, is it good for the game for clubs to have three decent keepers at the top club with one having no chance of playing? As that is what would happen without the insurance. Nielsen sounds like our Caig, there so we can play a reserve game. The rules are there unopposed by the Premier League clubs. As pointed out by NUT and myself other clubs have used it in the past, and will do so again. No-one is disputing the fact that other clubs have used the rule in the past. It's more the fact that if they have several keepers to pick from it's not that much of an emergency. If they had NO keepers then obviously they should be allowed to bring someone in. It's the fact they don't want to play any of the keepers they do have available.
  5. Not surprised, but there you go. Not a biggie really but they've got away with one there.
  6. Getting an emergency keeper in shouldn't be necessary. They've got a keeper - play him. You play the cards you're dealt. I'd imagine Spurs and Villa will have plenty to say if they're allowed to sign another keeper at this point in the season with 4th place up for grabs. I know it's happened in the past but when these 3 are going for the Champions League then there will be hell on it the PL allow it.
  7. These fuckers will crash and burn like Bradford did when they spaffed big money for the likes of Carbone et al.

Pleased Hughton hasn't given in and given him a 'sentimental return to the Premiership for one final farewell season'. His legs went a few years ago and he quickly went from experienced to old. Couldn't give a shit who he signs for, how he plays and how much he's going to earn. He's not going to be our problem/burden for much longer thankfully.
  9. I smell a rat. What's the catch? There must be one.
  10. Not sure if anyone knows but.... is there anything to stop Gillett from selling his 50% share and Hicks keeping his 50%? Sounds like Hicks is either severely deluded in thinking he can get £800m for the club or he's forcing Gillett to sell up by asking for so much, safe in the knowledge that no-one wil pay it? Silly internal, American power games going on methinks.
  11. Someone like Fulham or Blackburn at home would be nice. Need to get off to a good start or the pressure will be on straight away.
  12. Was never fussed on him when he was here tbh. Never ever looked like a £12m player and was pleased we ended up making a big profit on him. Obviously he's come on loads since he's left so you've got to look at the coaching set-up and ask why he never fulfilled his potential here rather than at Villa. Selling him was the right decision at the time and his development since he left doesn't make it a mistake. He would never have been anywhere near the player he is now had the bid been turned down and he stayed here, which says more about NUFC than it does about Milner. Good luck to the lad.
  13. Milner would be a decent replacement for Scholes.
  14. Never understood the big hang-up some of our lot have about having red letters & numbers on the kit.
  15. Benny might just have a lifeline. Hicks and Gillett have put them up for sale and appointed a new chairman. Are these wankers going to weasel their way out of the shitstorm that's headed their way?
