  1. :mackems: Yeh of course mate. I think most on here were impressed with Bale and acknowledged it tbh. Had you spun it right you wouldn't be getting half as much shit. Just my twopenneth.
  2. If kd had come on here and talked about the positives of Bale's performance and how they played in the second half with a bit of humility then I think most on here would have gone along with it.
  3. Bale has just made the big clubs sit up and take notice. He'll get a move on the back of that tonight, great hat-trick.

Has it caused much of a stir in the national media though? No idea mate. Might be one of those things that spreads gradually as more (away) fans see it?

The fact it's caused so much uproar/interest/discussion means that it's already served it's purpose tbh.
  6. I actually wasn't aware of that. That's shocking City at home. They've already got some difficult games out of the way and they'll be strong at home all season.
  7. They've still only won the one game like, and that was with a last minute penalty. They're better than us but not hugely so.
  8. For which team? Sunderland probably.
  9. Got last-minute winner written all over it.

Who on Earth is going to be stupid enough to be the first to attempt to fill Fergie's shoes at Man Utd? Talk about a hiding to nothing...

I think you'll find it was the excessive amount of alcohol that fucked it up.

Dave was livid about this btw.
  14. He does come across in that interview as being a bit shell-shocked (and not just from the result either). Reckon he'd had a "meeting" only seconds beforehand with the new owners. Looks like he's had the shits put up him big time. The body language is awful and deflection of any blame at the end is the clincher for me. He's on borrowed time.

City will go for him just for the craic.
  16. He's off. No manager as experienced as him comes out with shite like that. I'm guessing he's probably already been told the new owners want their own bloke in and as soon as they get him lined up he's getting the bullet.

I wish more English players would leave tbh, we're so bloody insular. and greedy. The Premier League clubs pay the big wages so in many ways I can understand them staying and earning more money rather than going abroad for less money. Depends on the players and their priorities I suppose.
  18. Agree totally. It would be daft to react and sack him but I think a few are forgetting who makes the decisions.

Only a handful of clubs who could afford him. Would love to see him go to Barca though.
  20. He's not out for the count, but if he has a superhero act then it needs to come out sharpish. It's also worth mentioning that if we actually go out and beat Sunderland then the pressure will be off. Massive game for Hughton personally and the club.
  21. Lose the derby playing as poorly as we did yesterday and he's really struggling. Unfortunately, the results against Blackpool, Stoke and Wigan mean that we really now need to win the derby. Had we taken points from those 3 games then the pressure wouldn't be there. Not convinced he's going to get the reaction from his players he needs either if I'm being totally honest. I realise I'm being very negative also.
  22. It may be drivel but Ashley's track record of making important football decisions is pretty bad. It should be ridiculous but we all know who's got his finger on the trigger.
  23. Don't hate the lad but he's just so obviously not good enough to play at this level. He's a liability, managers know it and target him. Needs to be dropped or sold, don't particularly care which one tbh.
  24. The results and performances are starting to look like us when we went down. Not all hughton's fault but ultimately he carries the can as manager. Better managers than him have been binned and I wouldn't be at all surprised if ashley sacked him before xmas.
