I'd be less annoyed if I knew that someone had put a decent sum of money into the club for the right to paint their logo all over the shop.
  2. Unconvincing 2-1 win to paper over the cracks for a week or two.
  3. You can bet the players who haven't even looked remotely interested in playing for Liverpool will suddenly flip the switch and play like their lives depended on it. The likes of Gerrard and Torres will win them this game and they'll shoot up the league. Fickle, cheating wankers that they are.
  4. Can't see too much of what they have done wrong to be hopnest. Many club owners borrow money against the business after they have just bought them, the same in a lot of companies that get taken over. The Liverpool fans are only making a big deal out of it because they have slipped out of the top 4. Who ever takes them over I hope they finish the job off, don't invest in new players or a new stadium and just settle for being "Liverpool, the most successful club in England for now". Something isn't right with this board and the American take over though, This other guy from the far east has offerd more money and has said that he has money for the team on top of that, I don't remember anything liek that coming from the Americans, it's obviouse the board are getting a backhander on this deal with the Americans. Wow. Not sure where to start. I'll have me tea first.
  5. Can't stand Liverpool but it's got to be said that Hicks and Gillett come out of this mess looking like a pair of absolute cunts tbh.

    Sunderland...

    It's a big 'if', granted.

    Sunderland...

Be rather funny if Davies comes straight in and gets a couple to knock Bent further down the pecking order.
  8. Arsenal, Villa and Everton. Sucker for a bit of history and tradition I guess.
  9. Sunderland, Liverpol and Blackburn. The Blackburn one is purely down to the smarmy, Easter Island headed cunt managing them.
  10. Liverpool being out of the Champions League spotlight for any length of time is bound to have an impact on the following they have. They're still a massive club obviously but if City get their feet under the table then Liverpool will suffer.
  11. Krul would have saved that. and that one...
  12. Hang on, the 2 cats who actually own the club can be forced to sell it against their wishes by the 3 other members of the board? How fucked up is that?
  13. I thought I couldn't possibly hate them any more than I currently do.
  14. I think that publically criticising a ref sometimes backfires. The next few refs we get will not want to be seen to have been swayed by a public slagging. They sometimes overcompenste and it works against you. I can see the reasoning behind it though.
  15. The problem with playing Ameobi up top by himself is that when he (frequently) forgets how to play football, every time you play the ball up to him he can't keep hold of it and it comes back at you constantly. IIRC, Carroll was coming on for Ameobi (like for like) until Johnson scored and he changed it and dragged Nolan off so we had 2 up top to go for the equaliser.
  16. City, for all the money they've thrown at the team over the last couple of years, still look horribly average. It's no consolation because they've turned us over today but they look miles away from winning the League.

    James Perch

Should have shown him down the line. He was always going to cut inside and get a shot away. Should have been dealt with tbh.

    James Perch

Did ok today. Certainly better than most of the times I've seen him this season. Nothing to get carried away with though.
  19. Was he injured or just dragged off?

    Hatem Ben Arfa

I agree that it should be looked at because of the tackle and not the injury. Aye, that's what I meant. The punishment shouldn't be proportional to the damage it does.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

The tackle should be looked at again and something done about it. The referee awarded a penalty against us for a less dangerous tackle so he couldn't have seen this one properly or he couldn't have just ignored it. The referee got it badly wrong on both occasions imo. The De Jong one was a red and it definitely wasn't a pen. I was talking more about De Jong getting the book thrown after the game purely because of the extent of Ben Arfa's injury.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

I agree that he shouldn't be punished in retrospect. The tackle was a bad one and should have been dealt with at the time but it wasn't. The tackle was the tackle, it was a bad one the damage it did shouldn't be converted into a 10 match ban or something stupid like that after the event.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

It looked a nasty tackle at the time an I thought it was ott. He went in two footed and smashed into Ben Arfa's leg so hard it fucking snapped. Don't think he meant to break it but I thought it was a red card. These things happen though unfortunately and as bitter pill as it is to swallow we've just got to move on and get on with it. He's out and someone has to come in and fill his boots.
  24. Drops Carroll because of his underpar performance but Nolan starts......hmmmmmm.

    Mcboro

I thought they'd be in the play-offs at the very least. I thought Boyd would fill his boots in that league too. These still might happen obviously but playing in front of 13 or 14,000 every week is going to get Gibson worried. Bigger clubs than them have fallen through the leagues and at the moment that's got to be a possibility unless their form picks up a bit.
