He's no worse than some of the defenders currently playing Premier League football evey week. He's not superb but he'll do for the time being. Sort of a tall Andy O'Brien. He'll do ok.

We've been on. Chill out.

With our goal difference situation, Forest would have needed 4 wins more than us whether we'd won or drawn today. 11 points would have been massive though. I must be the only one who doesn't give a shit about winning the league. Seeing the likes of Smith, Butt and Nolan parading the trophy around the ground at the last home game would be a bit wierd seeing as they were the ones who took us down in the first place. They would be righting a wrong but it wouldn't be anything to get carried away with. Serious question - If we didn't go up this season but we managed to do it next year (or two years down the line) and Smith, Butt and Nolan were parading the trophy around the ground, would you still feel is was weird to celebrate? Fingers crossed, I would absolutely love to see the club celebrate going up as champions. Yep. Doesn't feel right slapping ourselves on the back for winning a league we shouldn't even be competing in in the first place. But we are competing in this league, and after the shite of last season, deservedly so. If a new manager can pull those same players into a cohesive team that can get us back at the first attempt, the manager, and yes, those players deserve that slap on the back imho. We have no devine right to be back in the Premiership, the team has had to work hard for it. Fair enough. No-one has said we have a divine right to be in the Premier League but after having competed in it for the last 17 years or so, you'll forgive me for being a bit apathetic towards it. Finishing 21st in the league ladder doesn't constitute a great season imo.

Butt, Smith, Nolan, R. Taylor, Barton and Best. That shower of shit cost us about £300k a week and contribute the square root of fuck all. Nolan's got a few this season but is useless to us next year.

We were one goal away from going up this afternoon. Had we got a late winner then we'd have been virtually up imo.

Dean Windass is as thick as fucking mince.

Come on lads, up and at 'em.

Straight into Ashley's back pocket. £40 a pop? He's raking it in....

Can't check how long players are out for on physioroom.

Hansen used to be good before people started telling him he was good. Then he changed and became shit.

They want it too much and are too impatient to give a good manager time to create a balanced, cohesive team. I think it's... eight? managers in these 6 years. And there will be a ninth soon. Absolutely. Just got to the stage where they're prepared to just throw money at the problem and hope it works out. They'd be much better off going for someone like Mourinho and giving him 5 years minimum. Back him in the market and stick with him and he'd deliver. The President's promising to sign player X or player Y and appointing weak managers who'll just put up with it has cost them. The tail is wagging the dog.

That is exactly what I thought too. They deserve each other.

Even worse than Harper's.

It was this arsecandle. If he hadn't mentioned it, they wouldn't have scored. FACT. It's his fault. I hope he can live with himself.

Whoever mentioned the West Brom game is getting booted out. Who was it? Own up.

Just going to use this tbh. http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D1/runin.html

Sunderland look like a side who can't buy a win at the moment. Last year iirc they won once from February till the end of the season. However back then they had gone on a good run beforehand and had a big enough gap to defend. I keep thinking, along with most, that they'll "pick up a couple of results here and there". But when does that mentality stop and an actual real onset of relegation become apparent? They've failed to beat Fulham, Wigan and Stoke at home, and their away form speaks for itself. I guess a lot will be revealed tomorrow night. Bold bit reminds me of something. Aye, it's been said quite a bit I've found. But yeah, people say they have an easy-ish run-in but I mean, those 2 away games at Hull and Wolves - I sure as hell can't see them winning either of them, I don't know about others. The gobshite mackems at work have gone very quiet over the last month or so. With us looking likely to go straight back up and them dropping like a stone they're genuinely worried that we're about to pass them. This is now their worst nightmare.

Don't, just don't. Not yet... I think Midds is right, the others all have the games in hand and Liverpool are still behind. Think it's a 3 way battle between Villa, Spuds and Man Shitty, I don't want any of those teams to get it, lol. At the bottom, if only Hull and Wolves could win a bloody game or two, the mackems might be in real danger, unfortunately, their goal difference may save them. On the upside, they do still have to play both Hull and Wolves away though.

I wish I could rule them out with such ease. There's something about the twats that means they are still in with a good shout. By their standards, they haven't had many refereeing decisions lately. Gerrard's running out of time for Swan Lake Vol. 126. They might finish above one of them, maybe even 2, but they won't finish above all of them.

Liverpool can forget 4th now. No chance they will finish above City AND Villa AND Spurs. All 3 of them have got games in hand on them. Magic.
