Come on Hughton, get Ben Arfa on.

Pud's last post was the middle of January. Was it that far back?

In theory your absolutely right but in reality, when you pay 40 quid plus for a shirt you do like, you would expect it to last for more than 5 mins before they release one you don't like. I'd expect the team to use a shirt for more than little over a year to be honest. Fair enough but you can still wear it though. If you bought it because you liked it then I can't see that much of a problem. It's a canny shirt so wear it. If anyone's daft enough to shell out £40+ on a new England shirt every time one's released, purely so they're wearing 'the current one', then I'd say they were a bit of an idiot tbh.

They might have to play a midfielder there. Palacios? Huddlestone? Kaboul & Bassong? Forgot they even had Kaboul.

Can Van Der Vaart play at CB?

f*** off man, it's getting stupid. I don't expect anything from you moron I never clapped or cheered the scouse cunt off the field. He's a pice of shit tbh.

Curbishley would crash and burn at Villa. Sven would struggle. They're in a bit of a hole atm.
-
Only scored 9 goals for us in 48 appearances.

This. Really hard to choose one specific moment though.

Because he's an Arsenal fan silly.

It's paid straight into the Sports Direct current account by BACS transfer. Seriously though, does anyone know?
-
Me neither, but be it in a lump sum or in instalments it’ll be in the club’s accounts by the end of the relevant accounting period won’t it? It would interesting for those who are insisting we will be operating at loss season to have a stab at telling us how much that loss will be and how they arrived at this figure. As I said I've got no idea. I always saw the newly promoted teams having a go by spending a bit of cash after promotion and thought they were spending this new pot of cash given to them by the PL.
-
When and how would that money be given to us? I'm assuming there would be some type of lump sum followed by several smaller payments over the course of the season but I've got absolutely no idea.
-
No-one's going to be forced to buy it though. It's the same with any shirt of any club or country - don't want the latest one? Don't buy it. If you like it then buy it.
-
Wenger's fireproof imo. No way will he be hounded out.
-
Don't think we can call Sunderland's window just yet. Lot's of 'gambles' which may come off or they might struggle to adapt. Rumours are that the Angeleri bloke might be an absolut plank and Bruce daren't play him for example. Onouha's an excellent loan deal......Gyan might be good.....they'll miss Jones....Cattermole will miss Cana.....Campbell's out for most of the season.....will Riveros adapt.......can Bramble last the season.......can Mensah stay fit..... Their season is up in the air imo.

Has VdV even had a medical for this transfer? Not that he needs to have one but if he's been peddled from Madrid because he's carrying something?? It would also explain why they initiated it with only a couple of hours to go without time to have a medical...

All I’m saying is the club should come clean. Not open the books up to all and sundry, just provide a broad outline of where we are now and we’re the club is heading. They don’t have to release figures, a clear and unambiguous summary would do. No-one would believe them without the evidence of the accounts anyway. Completely pointless exercise. Wait for the accounts and see what's what imo.

Miss a bus by a minute? Tough shit you should have left earlier Miss a deadline for handing an assignment? Tough shit you should have left earlier Miss paying some money into the bank to pay a bill? Tough shit, put up with the consequences Miss a deadline for signing a player? That's absolutely fine, you can complete it in your own time. Not annoyed at Spurs in particular, they know the FA are weak as piss and will just do the paperwork anyway. It's the FA who need a kick up the hoop.
-
Why not? Let's just tell the FA the deal's not completed yet and we need more time to get it done. They've got to let us...
-
Yeah, fuck the rules. Let's all just gan mad and do what the fuck we want. I fancy a new telly, what do you mean I've got to pay for it? I'll just smash the window and take it. Fuck these new 'paying' rules. I don't fancy paying my gas bill this month, they can fuck off - new rules. Honestly, man
-
But how do you know whether a deal was on the table? Anyone could say anything about what was or wasn't agreed... the only certain thing is whether it was completed and submitted in time for the transfer deadline. It lasts for weeks FFS, there should be no excuses for failing to complete in time. Everyone knows the position. As Bluestar's already said, Spurs played the brinksmanship to the limit and waited until yesterday afternoon to do business. I'd wager Madrid hawked him around for a knock-down fee because they wanted him sold and were prepared to make a big loss on him. They waited and waited and got a good player for a small fee but didn't leave enough time to get it completed. The deal's either done or it's not. Spurs, or any other club, can't turn around and say ''well it's not done but it's nearly done, so can we sign him anyway?" The answer should be 'no, you shouldn't have waited so long to get the deal started. It's not complete so he can't be registered.' They won't though and it's not right imo.
-
Agree. The dealine is the deadline. The FA made it 6 pm on the 31st August and if the paperwork wasn't done, for whatever reason, then the transfer shouldn't happen. It will though.
