'Son of a whore', I believe. I've been called worse down the local by my mates tbh. The Cherry Tree?

Not even I would go that far.

When the ball is gently trundling out of play for a throw-in and the linesman has got time to get in place and signal but lets the ball go past him without stopping it so play can restart quicker. All he has to do is just stop it on the line with his foot rather than wait for the player to go running past him and get it. I know it's not his job to do it but it annoys me, especially when there's only a few minutes left and a team are chasing the game.

its ashley, expect the unexpected Knowing Ashley it was probably the second question we asked. The first being do you want to buy the naming rights to a football stadium? 'Would you print names on these shirts for us? Please?' What is that all about, have they run out of glue? James has been sniffing it by the looks of the last few pages.

I'll wait until he actually signs before I get excited tbh. Very encouraging though but a lot can happen in 3 or 4 days when signing a player. Fingers crossed he comes though.

Has James Beattie's future been sorted out by Pulis or is he still on the market?

That's EXACTLY what I thought 18 months ago. Looking on the bright side might make it easier to deal with but since we went down I've looked at things in a different light. We're not quite good enough to stay up atm. Hopefully that will change but I'm not convinced it will.

Exactly this. At the minute, no. Get a string-puller in and it's a yes. I have been encouraged by what I've seen of us today and in La Coruna though.

You are canny tanned like. Or is that a liver problem? Tanfastic.

How many people are going to be disappointed when they try to watch our game tomorrow expecting it to be free because of the thread title?

Might nip up and take the boy. He may as well get used to the place.

I guess we can scrap the poll too. Ben Arfa or bust.

Zenden would've been alreet but it shows he knew where we were lacking. Exactly.

Bellamy's pace and movement created the extra bit of space and time which benefitted Shearer. Quality service and delivery from right AND LEFT once Robert signed meant crosses coming in from both wings which balanced the side up and stretched the field for the defenders. Robson went out and signed those 2 and everything just clicked from there. We'll not mention how he went for Zenden and Jeffers first though.
-
Got to agree. They were worth 20 points. They brought balance, pace and service/delivery into an average team.

Any English team who travel up for a game aganist the Huns is always taken really seriously by them. I think we'll lose by the odd goal but they'll celebrate like it's fucking Bannockburn. Just hope it's a good workout for us and we come through it without picking up any knocks. Also hope everyone behaves themselves...

I say this without any malice, but make the most of the Champions League nights you have this season. Seems like a lifetime ago that we were playing there. Walking to your seat with the CL logo covering the centre circle, the music, the different advertising hoardings... it was fantastic and I enjoyed every one of the nights we had and I almost took them for granted. A few years later we're playing Scunthorpe away on a Tuesday night. Success comes and goes and I honestly can't see Spurs finishing in the Top 4 again for a good few years to come. Enjoy the games. Cheers man. If we do indeed make the group stages, i'm going to at least 2 of the home games so should be good. Thing is, we're not there yet and last time we got such a good draw didn't turn out good at all (Pompey FA cup semi). You'll make the group games, don't worry.

That's a lot of money to turn down, if true. what's Wenger gonna do with 50m though? who's he gonna buy?...alls he ever seems to do is spunk his cash on more unprovens maybe if he went for someone like derossi at roma or something, i dunno...who else could he get in the position he needs? realistically wengers on the verge of properly losing it as it is, 50m and no fabregas might just break him That would be Wenger's problem. Maybe he thinks buying a couple of defenders would improve the squad/team which would compensate for losing Fabregas? It's a lot of cash and would Fabregas be giving it 100% if he's not being allowed to join the team he wants to play for? It's a big decision for Wenger and one he can't really get right.

That's a lot of money to turn down, if true. Aye, I'd accept that. Sure its Fabregas, but thats money that you can rebuild a team with, especially when you've got Jack Wilshire and Ramsay coming through as replacements. That's what I mean. I don't care what Wenger says, every player has a value at which the bid is impossible to turn down. 50m Euro might just be that amount. Can see him going if the bid is true.

I think we're ok to post European fixtures. Wait for Dave.
-
If Benfica can offer him the cash he wants and the chance to play in the Champions League then they'll probably get him. Always assuming they're actually interested and it's not more smoke and mirrors obviously.

Lots of hair splitting going on here tbh. It's not a direct link so it's not the end of the world but I'll get rid of it anyway...
