When the dick couldn't wait to get away from us despite sticking with him for a countless number of years. I never wish serious injury upon anybody but it serves him right for wanting away from us. You serious? It serves him right? Jesus fucking wept.

Genuinely struggling to believe some of the comments on here tbph. When did we suddenly turn into a pack of twats who revel in a serious injury to another club's player?

I don't like the little shit-weasel but I can't be pleased that he's just had his leg snapped.

Desperately needed the central blue stripe. It's not bad but it just looks 'unfinished' tbh. Like the kit designer started it and got bored, ran out of ideas, missed the deadline and just handed what they'd done so far. Can't say I'll be buying it like...

We should be looking to take 3 points from a weak, poor Boro squad. The look absolute shite this year.
-
The Harry Redknapp link is also preposterous. Got a feeling in my bones tbh... Probably bollocks like... Get to the doctors. Touche! Wouldn't rule it out tbh. I can think of loads worse candidates than him.

Should grow up then, the bunch of twats. Its ok, the school holidays are over soon Btw, school isnt usually on at the weekends. Or at 7:45 at night. Idiot. Homework Idiot Pathetic comeback. Suppose there wasn't anything else you could really reply with though, with you being proved wrong and made to look an idiot and everything... Idiot. You 2 need your heads banging together tbh.

Anelka is a far better player than Martins will ever be. He's got the lot imo. First touch, vision, control, can run onto a through-ball, can bring others into play and can finish. Martins is raw and he'll get better with good coaching but I'd rather have the finished article, thanks. Martins is good, Anelka is better.

We could equally not trust him. It won't make much difference either way. That's fair enough. blueyes.gif I was just trying to point out that we don't really have any choice in the matter. He owns the joint lock stock and barrel. He can do what he wants, whe he wants, how he wants and there's not a thing we can do about it. He's taken us off the Stock Market, which is his prerogative, and I'm assuming that the club won't be publishing any accounts for the foreseeable... We've got a choice - back him and the club, whilst crossing our fingers behind our backs, or turn on him and question his intentions. I'll go for the former thanks. Actually, it's true that if we choose to trust him -- because trusting or not trusting is actually a choice -- the result will be a happier, more confident club. In for a penny, in for a pound. Don't see how questioning his intentions will do any good whatsoever tbh. My glass is half full and I'm pleased a billionaire owns us and, by all accounts, wants to make a go of things up here. He deserves a bit of backing/trust imo. Just my 2 cents.

It would be naive to think that Ashley has bought the club out of the goodness of his heart. He simply hasn't. In my opinion, he's bought us so he can make a few quid. Hopefully he realises that the best way to use NUFC to make money is to make it as successful as possible on the park and maximise the income it will generate. We've got no safety net though. If it goes tits-up and he drops us like a hot potato then we'd be left well and truly in the shit. It's a risky situation for all concerned tbh. For him and for us. I'd like to think he trusts us to continue backing the team and buying tickets, merchandise etc but we've also got no choice but to trust him too. The thought of him selling the club for a knockdown price to anyone, should it go tits-up, doesn't bear thinking about. We've got no choice - we've got to trust him.

Why? if he can't do his job properly the last thing he should be getting is a pat on the back. Will the public slagging and a week off make him a better referee? Thought not. Would going "he did well" make him better/good enough? Also, no. That's fair enough. Just trying to point out that slagging him off in public won't do anyone any good. Any criticism from his boss should have been kept private. Hackett should have acknowledged the mistake and supported him. He would have needed to have chosen his words carefully mind.

If my boss came out and publically slated me the way Hackett did to Styles, I'd be fucking livid. blueyes.gif

It's like a scene from One flew over the cuckoo's nest tbh. Play the game James, play the game!

Possibly, can't say I know what you mean. It's Italian for 'lock and bolt' or 'lock and key' or something like that I think. Basically being able to shut the opposition down like the Italians have been doing for about 40 years.
-
Who would you rather we spend the £2m on then, just out of interest? Watch and see him struggle to come up with something Not really interested in seeing him struggle tbh. He's got his opinion and that's fair enough imo. I was just wondering who would be a better buy for £2m.

if sheff utd can get the fabled documents about tevez (kia kebabchian has copies)then they have a very good case, probably won't get 50mill but a big lumper could be headed to bramall lane What exactly are they suing them for. They've been tried, found guilty and punished by the PL. We all know the 'punishment' was a farce but it happened nevertheless. Can't see the grounds for any civil action undertaken by Sheff Utd tbh. They're on a hiding to nothing imo. Documents or not, it's been dealt with by the PL in their eyes. I agree with the cause but I just can't see how they can win this one.
-
Still firmly behind Sheff Utd on this one. However, I'd be blaming the PL for not imposing the correct sanction rather than choosing to sue West Ham as a separate entity. The PL fucked up but taking them to court would be a monumental decision. They'll try to get their money but I think they're hoping West Ham will settle out of court before it goes that far. If it comes down to brass tacks, they haven't got a chance. West Ham have broken the rules, pleaded guilty and been 'punished' by the PL, what do Sheff Utd expect them to do now? They've accepted the decision of the PL and it's done and dusted as far as they're concerned. Can't see how Sheff Utd have got a leg to stand on tbh. I'm sure it'll be all sorted soon but can't see anything changing.

There's a depressing history of us struggling against lower-league opposition, though. I mean, we usually win, but we rarely dismantle them. Not saying it's a forgone conclusion but surely we're not frightened of facing Barnsley at home, are we? Shouldn't be, no. I'm not. But I also remember home defeats to Birmingham and Blackburn when they were in Division One, and I still shake my fist at Stevenage every time I pass it on the train. I'm still trying to erase the word Stevenage from my memory bank! Aye, we've struggled with the odd tie every now and again but I think we'll demolish them if we put out a strongish side tbh. Can't see many bookies taking much money on Barnsley at all and I'll stick my neck out and say we'll win this one comfortably. I'm sure you're right. For some reason I've got more confidence in Allardyce than our last several managers -- including Bobby -- for when it comes to polishing off games like this. That's what I mean. He'll take it seriously and I think we'll just roll over them. Under Roeder or Souness, I wouldn't be anywhere near as confident but I think we'll cruise it. We'll see in time I suppose and I'm sure they'll make it as difficult as they can but if we score early we could get 4 or 5 imo. It's an excellent draw for us.
