"No intention"... That's not a no mate. I've got no intention of getting Liz Hurley's number this month but if the opportunity arises...
-
Magnificent point that and proves that we can go to the best team in the country and give them a game. Fair enough we were hanging on for long spells but we didn't break and concede and that's a huge huge boost to confidence. Another clean sheet to boot. Brilliant performance in it's own way
-
I'll go 11 minutes stoppage time. Unless Arsenal score and it'll be 4.
-
As bad as Leeds were the other day we are CL shithouses like. Kill the flow and momentum whilst bending the rules without breaking them
-
Was it Beren? The cunt
-
Hands up...........................if you'd take a point *touches ceiling*
-
Ref is fucking awful here like. 5 yellows in the first half? He's abysmal. The players react to what the ref is doing and this cunt is weak as fuck
-
Also we have Man U, Liverpool and Spurs - probably our 3 biggest threats right now - all to play at home. Yeah, we've got Arsenal x2 and City and Chelsea away but if we do well in those first 3 home fixtures we'll take some stopping. And all 3 are eminently winnable too
-
Terrier looks like he's done his knee ligaments for Rennes just now. Absolutely screaming in agony on the deck and the replays aren't too clever either
-
Depends how well he's performing tbh. Bellingham now is phenomenal and has 76 top flight games at 19. We'd need to see where he was in 250 games time to compare them but he's the exact type of talent we should be looking to sign if it's even remotely possible
-
Just for context: Tielemans 321 top flight games and he's 25 Maddison 145 top flight games and he's 26 H. Barnes 126 top flight games and he's 25
-
Let's just assume the normal career for a top player means breaking into the top flight at about 19ish? Then he continues to play at that level for the next 10 years solid. That would make him about 29-30ish right now, that's not abnormal imo. It's not a pop at Tielemans per se, it's just he's already played as many top-flight games right now as you'd normally expect a 29-30 year old pro to have done. It's not a sleight on him, he's quality but I just think he's peaked and won't improve enough to justify the money he'd cost. We need to sign the 19 year old equivalent of Tielemans. Which I'm annoyed that it might just have been Perrone...
-
Still not sold on Tielemans as I've mentioned. I know he's only 25 and should be in his prime but I've got a feeling he's peaked and is on the way down now. I'm not saying he's shit or couldn't contribute but I think he'll only get worse from here. He's got 'old legs' as I call it. Broke onto the scene so young that his age doesn't really correlate with the games he's played - this is his 11th full season and I'd be wary about throwing big money at him. Not saying he wouldn't be good for a few years but I'd be looking elsewhere
-
You'd have to say that all of that lot has a 1 in 4 chance of getting a chance at giving themselves a 1 in 4 chance of gaining promotion. Or thereabouts, there's nothing between them. The top 2 are home and hosed imo.
-
No pressure and a bit of a free hit tbh. No-one expects a thing from us and a point would be an amazing result, it'll be a bit of a benchmark game to let us know where we're at in the big picture
-
Teams I used to look out for (or equivalents) - Southampton, Bournemouth, Forest, Leeds Teams I thought we'd be directly competing with this season - West Ham, Leicester, Villa, Brighton Teams I now look out for - Man U, Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea I think that says an awful lot tbh
-
It's such a grey area and genuinely don't know what they're all up to atm. Has it got something to do with being registered at a club? He's been registered at us and Man U already obviously, can he be registered for a third club?
-
So he can go straight back out on loan/sold immediately but if he appears on our bench then that's it, he can't play for a third team this season? Is that right? Honestly don't know
-
Was going to say similar. Holt is about as anti-NUFC as it gets and I think he gets a bit of a kick with his little digs at the club and he'd love any negativity he could possibly cause. No idea if it's true or not but I know I don't trust that wanker's motives at all

Captain Steak Bakes (now managing Blackpool/revising history)

Bet he's in the North Bay too, the absolute freak -
I think we have to now accept that teams are going to do this to us especially at home and dig in for a point. Sometimes we will break them down and other times we won't, it happens. It happened to City today too, they even let a lead slip at home to dogshit Everton. The first half of the season has been epic and beyond anything any of us could have wished for in August. One defeat ask season and that was fucking bullshit too, we've been superb and elite I can understand some frustration at not scoring today it shouldn't tarnish the overall picture which is incredibly, hugely, massively positive for the club on and off the field. Transfer window opens tomorrow and we'll get even better in the next few weeks. Chins up, chests out gentlemen

Something intensely irritating about Liverpool playing at Anfield. It's like their sense of entitlement to every decision and break of the ball is amplified ten fold. The ref always seems to play along too and always seems petrified to give any borderline decision against them. Crowd are largely quiet for long spells but they insist they have this unique Anfield roar PR type shit going on all of the time. Just a really, really unlikeable group of players, fans and manager - I hate the cunts tbh, if it wasn't clear enough already.
