  1. as you say ,bassong, even though he's been our best player this season by quite a long way,he's done that sort of thing a few times. a few very clumsy pulls in the box aswell which he's been very lucky to get away with.

    Nolan

with nolan wearing that new strip yesterday i was transported back in time and saw roy aitken strolling about SJP
  3. getting what we deserve for saying we couldn't keep on going the way fred was and having to take a risk on ashley ?
  4. Rubbish, when he quit, we'd only played 3 league games, 3 games that had us 4 pts, one point more than most people would've expected, we've played 34 games since then......thats plenty time to get things sorted. true enough....but his timing to leave was planned imo to cause the maximum damage.

They scored ,you klutz. They wouldn't have would they,if the penalty hadn't had been given. and the score would have remained at 0-0 where are you getting 2-0 from? Cos we then scored 2,hence the final score of 2-2...it really isn't rocket science. How do you know we would have went on to score 2 goals? It probably would have been a whole different game if Beye hadn't been sent off...incidents like that totally change the way games go, to say the game would have finished 2-1 is totally unpredictable. that bassongs a t***, letting beye take the rap for him. talking about the Man City game mate.

just got home. too late to see if..... a) was their goal offside and who (to blame) played him onside ? b)why was vidukas header disallowed....just seemed like nolan stood his ground on the line ? c) was the sending off a sending off ?
  9. bloody schmeichel and jaaskelainen. Couldn't spell the buggers. Also spent ages trying different combinations of Grobbelaar to no avail. I had to google to get the spelling. Still didn't get it right i got him
  10. aye, covvytray is lying if he got juusi without googling.
  11. we have a leader if this is a race.
  12. bloody schmeichel and jaaskelainen. Couldn't spell the buggers. Also spent ages trying different combinations of Grobbelaar to no avail. I had to google to get the spelling. same here...add the schwarzer (?) spelling to that. I got the lot with 1.26 left. i got them all....thwarted on the spellings
  13. not to the fans in milton keynes. it's so long gone now it should be let go.
  14. Norwegian from Oslo to Edinburgh you can get for as low as £60 round trip, usually it's more like £100-£120 there and back, but still cheaper than £300-£600. Then the bus fare from Edinburgh to Newcastle is surprisingly cheap, around the £6 mark, making it £72 there and back in plane/bus money. British Airways (I belive that's what you usually take) rapes your wallet. djmattis........ Norwegian to Edinburgh is quite cheap outgoing, return more expensive. Ryanair from Oslo (Torp) to Glasgow (Prestwick) departure Friday 15:20 (£11-12) - return monday 07:10 (£25). Train Glasgow - Toon - return max. £60 - - Drop shopping - obviously djmattis heads to london in the hope of getting chelsea or arsenal tickets instead.
  15. and if you can, sit on the left on the way down.

  17. our coach back from nottingham (after the leicester game) had about 4 windows left in. (lucky for me i was tucked up in a nice dry cell) its amazing they let us come back with windows out, well dangerous, we were throwing bottles , lumps of wood and all kinds at the scousers, not top mention, people f***ing about at 70mph, with no windows. not that amzing. the local law just you off their patch. our coach even had an escort, front and rear to to the nottinghamshire conty border i'm told. edit...that liverpool game we got ambushed up a side street and they were hoying allsorts at us and they knew there were plenty of women and kids in there....the start of my hatred of scousers. i got a bit revenge that night. (then was brought right down to earth a few weeks later)

  20. Im doing my bit. Out for 11. i'm not even going to count how many.
  21. just what i was thinking....after checking that there was no oslo flight (surprised at that). that stavanger service is a regular aswell. used to go to bergen aswell i think.
  22. i understand some of this. look coldly at fulhams stats and they aren't massivly impressive, especially away and maybe they are being overpraised because of who they are. definitly winnable but nowhere near a cert.
  23. after reading about some things some of our fans have to do to get to the match, lets hear about your difficuilties in making matches. i've worked a few night shifts and went straight to the central station for 6am for away games. i once got a call off a friend living in dublin, man utd season ticket holder at the time "how long does it take to get to manchester by road from teeside airport"....their flight had been diverted from manchester due to fog so 4 of them were taxi-ing, they got there 10mins after kick off. i heard of 2 geordies who when working in glasgow drove as far south as needed to get metro radios commentary of the grimsby promotion game then found the nearest pub to listen to it in,sleeping off the nights excess in the car before driving back to glasgow for a days plastering.
  24. Right so I've got about £44 in betfair now. Might try and see if I can get anywhere with this (I appreciate it's a low starting value...) by putting on bets I think might win rather than my usual betting technique of wasting £2-5 at the bookies on a friday with ridiculous accus. For anyone who does this, do you have any rules about bankroll e.g. never put more than 10% on per bet etc.? I'll undoubtedly get bored with this after 2-4 weeks and piss it all away on something stupid like the Tour, but it might be more interesting betting on something I actually know a little about. i done exactly that including the 10% thing. once i broke through £100 but got carried away on accu's. since last april i've taken 3 lots of £100 out at seperate times and on top of that had a balance of just under £400 but recently had to rely on a refer and earn to get funds in. learned my lesson re accies (though had a short priced five timer up last night).£78 now in the kitty through mainly singles. Interesting stuff, cheers. Do you look for value bets in particular or just what you fancy? Are there rough prices you look to bet at? How much of your betting is constrained to English football and how much do you branch out? always look for value but sometimes man utd in form at home to most is just a take at whatever odds. when placing accums i always try and make sure there is one game that starts after the others so i can lay that if the others have come in and at least get my stake back. i'll look through most european leagues, top couple of divisions in the bigger leagues (VVV Venlo done good for me in the dutch 2nd where as in the french 2nd division i'm well down as with the portuguese league. started reasonably well in the swedish and norwegian leagues)). in plays are good if a top team goes a goal behind early on. basicallly like most i'll look at a lot of games and judge what i think will happen against the given odds.
  25. just found this little gem on another teams message board. everyone hates them apparently and it's something to do with us... http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=408357 wood green mackem is at pains to point out the wherever he goes people call him mackem scum.
