lazy bugger..report on nufc.com

mods, any chance of changing the thread title,"they're at it again "

don't think roeder has...plenty of us fans have mind.

They don't have to lose to go out, though. That said, I'm strangely confident that we have an excellent chance of going out there and putting that record to bed. it would be the newcastle thing to do,had they never won a home game in europe, then that would be a cert.it's the newcastle way...contrary fc.

the difference between flair and showboating is that one is necessary, the other isn't..ie the duff back heel and sibs, for the goals, this wasn't shpwboating as it just made for the quickest and most effective way of getting the ball from A to B.

Couldn't we field that team next year? Why wait two? cos it's only the year after next that goalkeepers become illegal....................apparently You've been on fire lately Re: the fullbacks issue. We need a LB who can offer what Solano does on the right hand side, if at all possible. Doesn't need to be great in the air, doesn't need to be particularly lightning fast, just someone who can pick a pass and who is composed on the ball. As already stated by many it's going to be hard to not improve on Babayaro, who isn't atrocious, but who is injured far too often and who seems to be declining more and more with every passing season. Left-back is THE priority positions in my eyes and I think we'll fill it with a very good signing as it seems Roeder has also pinpointed this area as one that needs a strong player incoming. I think Nobby easily has another year in him at RB and I don't think Carr is that bad of a back-up, if the fat bugger stays fit, so I'd be appeased if a CB and a LB were signed over the summer. a good piece of business could be ship out carr..(most would be happy if i stopped now),and buy a young up and coming right back as it seems like we don't have one on the books.i've been impressed with solano at right back, thought he would struggle away from home but has survived........wonder about his distribution now though as it has been poor in the last few games,is this down to the player or is it tome to look at full backs and see their job isn't so easy ?

Hey, I love Bremen--- would take Klose, Klasnic, Borowski, Frings in a heart beat. (Edit: oh, and Mertesacker while you're at it) But, Borowski and Klasnic are both out for the season (I think) and, let's face it German clubs have not been doing very well in Europe for quite a while now. My final of choice would definitely be NUFC and Werder Bremen. you don't get it do you,you rate bremen therefore we want them out before we have to play them.dream final for me is nufc V Braga.........after braga lose 6 players through kevin brock style headaches that morning.

my youngest daughter...she has this thing at the minute where she jumps with both feet and kicks the ball while in the air..........I CAN NOT DO THIS!

I agree being fair, there are quite a few with opposing ideas who are just as willing to join in. Most of those with opposing ideas at least give Shepherd credit when it's due. I've given him credit for his part in the ground development and his part in the Academy and training facilities, I would even credit him for his latest appointment to the board. NE5 sees anything said against Shepherd as a reason to defend him, he even defends the appointment of Souness by saying that Liverpool also got it wrong when they appointed Souness. Liverpool appointed him before he'd developed his reputation as being a poor manager who fell out with players. you'll be in that sticky with NE5.....were you superbore

I wouldn't say it's all of the younger ones, I used to sit two seats away from a bloke who must have been in his fifties, he always turned up pissed, slurring his speech and smoking rollies, I never heard him say anything until one of our players made a mistake. He spent all of the game either chain smoking or moaning, I'm not joking about him never saying anything positive, the bloke had my blood pressure going through the roof, everybody reacted the same towards him. Most people around us spent most of our time telling him to shut his mouth, 5 minutes later somebody would make a mistake and he saw that as justification for everything. not all, just one of those generalisations you can't help but make and no doubt there are whining oldies. anyone remember "fred the fan" a cartoon strip from the 70's,he was the constant whiner who'd turn up week after week.

no thanks, theres nowt worse than watching a game in a completly deserrted stadium.not good for fans nor players.

i honestly think there are one or two on here who secretly want nufc to get beat at times so they can see vindication for themselves, or certain players to play well or poorly for the same reason. i find the biggest moaners are the 18-25yr olds, they've been brought up on good times and are still young enough to engage gob before brain.also there is the tendancy to "peacock" ,to want to be seen and heard,to want to say things that are a challenge to the orthadoxy wether believed or not. need the annoying buggers there like as the little atmosphere thats there tends to come from them.
-
if we're going to blame our players for their goals shouldn't we say all our goals came from their mistakes.
-
bloody hell,i know i had a drink or two to celebrate after the home leg, seems like i had enough to knock myself out for a week, anyway seems like we got through, what was the score in the away leg ?

madras in agreeing with vicky shocker
-
bramble ? does the HTT stand for hopelessly terrible at tactics.?
-
it's the luck of the draw, like being drawn at home in a one-legged tie and like you say it cuts both ways.

yet he was there when we were a top 6 side go figure. Your point being? It was despite him, not because of him. He's not good enough to be in a team that achieves and maintains that level. you're a WUM,getting some good bites on this mind aren't you. I'm a WUM? No, i just don't think we should be wanking oursleves off over players who aren't good enough to be in a team at the level i want NUFC to be at. Its accepting that kind of s**** that allows dross lilke Ameobi and Carr to step back into our team when they're fit, and drags us down. don't let that guard down eh?....keep it going, some might believe you.
