  1. claearly sniffer thinks,as i do,that n'zogbia has been as bad as duff this season, you don't like him, didn't want us to sign him and as such compare him unfavourably to n'zogbia. this isn't a question of wether we were right to sign duff but a question of how the team has faired on the left hand side of midfield. i notice its gone from "FAR" better to "as good if not better." i say the have both been poor, milner playing best out of who we've used on the left. No, you misunderstand. Again. Teh Zog as a one seaon wonder was what i was referring to, and a response to the "before injury" comment - i was talking about not just this season. Also, i was not talking about Duff when i said "as good if not better". But hey, don't let that stop you from jumping to half-assed conclusions to back up some pre-conceptions of people's opinions that you know f*** all about. Good lad. so why say,and i quote "which have been far better than duff, the only genuine contender for the position" if you weren't meaning duff ?...or were you meaning someone who wasn't the only genuine contender. ? don't worry kidda, try with your word play all you want, everyone who reads this knows what you mean

  3. Which have been FAR better than Duff, the only genuine contender for that position. hate glasses on there...duff and n'zogbia were equally as bad before charles injury. "hate glasses"? Wind it in. I thought Duff would be great (but not as needed as other players would have been had Roeder not been an arsehole) when he came. But he's been very poor overall. The Zog was our best outfield player last season. thought we were talking about this season before zog' injury ?

  7. butt-emre could the the one from what we have, but parker showed what he can do on saturday,he has to do that regularly.
  8. don't see how, decent pass naffed up by harper, slid not to get the ball but to try and push pennant as wide and as far as poss.his only option was to chop pennant as he went past.or are you blaming him for letting pennant past,he turns round to have a bloke running at him, don't think ashley cole or wayne bridge would have done much different .
  9. don't believe they would rush him,but if he is 100%fit with 5 games left, get him at least on the bench

tradesmans is this the return of the word association thread ?
  11. he should come back as and when ready, regardless of when in the season it is.it will take him long enough to get match fit and in the swing as it is without keeping him out needlessly longer.if he gets 3 or 4 games in this season it will do him no harm and only good for the start of next season. we have to bring him back the way blackburn brought shearer back where he was used from the bench for a few games, not the standard nufc way,"you've passed a fitness test, there you go 90mins"
  12. i'm nee expert but i'm expecting him to be on the bench on thurs
  13. "owen in breakdown scare" before the weeks out :'(
  14. I agree. a lot depends on the supply.

  16. I know he wanted to play, just like Shola wanted to play those extra games before his operation. The manager has to think of the team, not the player. Like i say, any manager in his right mind would have expected a bit of a horror show because the player's mind would surely be elsewhere. Fortunately, we escaped somewhat, even though i think the first goal goes largely down to Babayaro's failings. As atrocious a kick-out it was from Harps, the pass back was poor and the attempt at the challenge was feeble. But - we did escape - but it just surprises me how Roeder, and Babayaro, has the courage to actually start him in such circumstances. Fair play to both of them, i suppose. Espcially Babayaro - condolences to his brother. can't actually bring yourself to say he had a good game can you ?..what we escaped from was poor defending through the middle as they done very little out wide. i've never really had much of a problem with babyaro's performances, just that they aren't many of them..he can have an ok game but people say he was shit cos he looks disinterested.be interesting to see if he can put a run together

got to admit i never understood this newcastle-liverpool best of friends thing.been to liverpool/everton too many times to remember and on most occasions in the pubs they are dead friendly...till they know they have you outnumbered.they live on this cheeky scouser tag that is the only thing funny about the humourless victimfest that is liverpool. prefer mancs and cockneys to scousers...now that is saying something
  19. even before we knew of his circumstances over the weekend everyone in the pub, including those who want rid of him, agreed he had a good game. i half think you decide on how someone plays on who they are and before a ball is kicked.
  20. Aye, I'm happy. My team won, Bellamy was plagued by bad luck otherwise he'd have scored 4. Imagine him in our team playing alongside Martins instead of Dyer, something Newcastle fans would be over the moon about if it happened. Owen for Bellamy this summer maybe? By the way, using doesn't make it any less abusive than using the words. No need. wasn't bad luck, just thats the way it is with bellamy,he done that time and again for us.he's not a good consistent finisher. i'd rather see owen and martins first. Not a lot between Martins and Bellamy, really. different types of player, bellamy does a bit more, martins scores more, bellamy is probably at the top of his game, martins (i feel) has a lot more potential to fulfill.

Bramble was shocking in the first half. The only reason this isnt being widely acknowledged is because Bellamy failed to convert his chances. onweyu (?) won all that came his way in the air,on the ground and organisationally he looked like a player coming in froma much lower league .bramble had to cover that, notice no-one is questioning butts quietist game for a while, how we failed to narrow the midfield,or questioning why sibs wasn't brought on earlier to hold the ball up and take pressuer off the defence.
