  1. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/5day.shtml?id=4082 didn't say where did he smartarse ?
  2. Rozehnal going forward was down to Geremi, Smith and Butt not being up to the job of carrying the ball forward from midfield, that's for a different discussion though. i agree with that baggio. roz gets a very sure touch on the ball more than most (no-one's perfect), he's not the most physical but he has a reading of the game that makes up for it. his performance at citeh wasn't individual mistakes a la cacapa V pompey but trying to cover too much owing to woeful tactics.
  3. why is campbell half fit in the "will be" be appears ok in your "should be" team ?
  4. won't even be looking for a ticket as that would need paid for, they know there are other ways to gain entry.
  5. the cheerleaders are quite fit. one thing that nufc could take from the vipers is that after each home game you can go to the cooperage and meet the players, have a drink and discuss the much. i think the nufc players should do this.
  6. i did post somewhere on here a while a go about how much fun it would be if scotland went to the game capable of qualifying but blew it in the final minute. oh how i laughed.

i doubt jussi would come as a back up Concurred, but Harper has been happy to sit on the bench for 7 years. Rather Jussi than harper tbh. He'd provide competition at least... yes but harper is "home" so is happy.to be honest the keepers are the least of our worries so far, neither are the players. the formations and tactics have me shit scared week after week .

  9. Nice metaphor, and totally accurate. I'd add X Factor Pop Idol etc etc vomit vomit etc to those. All made for the unthinking (ie THICK) majority Nah, WWF is nothing like those things, it's more like a soap opera or drama series. I haven't watched it for years but when I was 8-11 or around that age I absolutely loved it both for the matches and the storylines - you know, goodies versus baddies. Still enjoy watching the odd hour of it if I'm round someone's house with Sky tv though, but it's has gone downhill and is not really familly entertainment anymore. Plus I don't know who's who these days. And seeing it live at Whitley was an absolutely tremendous spectacle. I remember being amazed by the athleticism of these huges blokes flinging eachother around, and they really got the crowd going. I remember Papa Shango and the Nasty Boys being there at the one at Whitley. Aye, and the Undertaker was there as well - can't remember who he was against though. Wasn't a fan of the Nasties, me, more of a Legion of Doomer... It was all about Demolition or The Rockers for me like. Hehe, I hated Demolition - Axe and Smasher weren't they? Aye, the Rockers were mint when they used to do all those moves off the top rope (and Gorilla Monsoon would wet his pants with excitement), but when Shaun Michaels went solo he lost all respect from me, especially when he hooked up with Sensational Queen Sherri - what a mistake. That must have been around the time I stopped following it actually. good grief

juusi is indeed a very good keeper. given is better.
  12. Hillsborough was tragic but many fans in Athens behaved in a manner liable to cause a similiar outcome. i.e stormed the stadium to get in. Understandable the desire to get in at all costs however. If the Toon were in the champions league final, i know i'd be desperate to get in but most probably i'd be dreaming. yet LFC were doing it for years before at wembley for cup finals. every other club had people blagging in etc but only LFC would regularly do it in such numbers. purely anecdotal i know but scousers (both red and blue) have been,in my opinion, over 25 years travelling to watch football, been the most underhanded, vicious, spiteful, criminal, cowardly bunch of gits i've ever come across.

    TRAGIC NEWS

wasn't that a track by gary moore ?
  14. Nice metaphor, and totally accurate. I'd add X Factor Pop Idol etc etc vomit vomit etc to those. All made for the unthinking (ie THICK) majority there are too many to add so i picked the main ones. i once made a joke on here about what would be next, i took the piss with celebrity hairdressing or celebrity garage.........both since been done.
  15. thats probably the difference between us. i'd much rather go to a sporting event where the outcome is unknown and it is down to those on the day(regardless of their quality) rather than a choreograhed sham masquerading as sport. WWF , i'm a celebrity , big brother , celebrity come dancing and that ilk are all out of the same s*** filled bucket.
  16. aye....may not have been the final score actually as we scarpered with 2 mins left
  17. tiger tony---why do you think liverpool have such a bad reputation for this sort of thing ? then the getting us all banned "enlighten me how this affected newcastle" is pointless as already pointed out he meant english teams and it makes you appear that you'd think because it didn't affect us it nullifies the point.
  18. newcastle 3-down not even half way into the first period, playing a percentage style, putting it into certain areas instead of passing to man in space with a decent opportunity, the opposition just do the basics and we make tham look good. newcastle at the time possibly being higher up the league than their performances warranted maybe having false confidence. final score.....newcastle vipers 2-6 coventry blaze.(ice hockey....my first game since the days of the whitley warriors)
  19. Was not the only time it happened I am sorry to say. People tried similar at Eindhoven in the quarter final. Only 1600 tickets and the tickets were identical to when we played them in the group stage which didn't help. One had 12-09-2006 the other had 03-04-2007, both tiny in the bottom corner. Apart from that they were carbon copies! Club screwed the independent travellers over (myself included) an gave all the tickets to official tours. So loads were trying (myself included) to get in on the group stage ticket. When I got f***** off, as everyone else did trying the same, I went to the bar. A group just tried to push the crowd forward but the away metal compound you go into at Eindhoven is as 'bunk proof' as you get. A couple of people at the front were lucky to not get seriously injured. It pisses most of our fans off that these pricks wear the justice stickers etc then do this. Don't mind anyone trying to blag in but trying to force your way in is just stupid, not to mention potentially dangerous. Same in Athens. One of our lads got in on a ripped up pepsi cup! But if he was stopped he would not have forced in. Just the same bunch of pricks who always do the forcing, knocking over women stewards and robbing tickets off their own fans, the 18-25 'f*** you I will do what I want' brigade. When people see this it is understandable that they think we are hypocrites. But it is these 18-25 gobshites who f*** things up. Our support has gone downhill since Istanbul, particularly the 'big' euro aways such as Barca etc where every t*** comes out the woodwork and behaves like a tool! Also this aggression amongst scouse lads to non local supporters who have 'robbed their ticket'. So yes these knobheads don't exactly help. However while I don't condone what these people did in Athens, a proper stadium that actually had turnstiles and proper ticket checks would have sorted it out. We have acknowledged our part of the blame. Just a shame UEFA don't fuckin acknowledge theirs. a, by choosing a stadium with unfit security procedures b, holding it in a tin pot country again just like they are this season and c, the corporate hijack of tickets which created that situation. Does not excuse the behaviour of these knobheads. But if the tickets were given to the two teams involved in the match, then that would not have happened. And to think it was nearly Man U v Liverpool final! Would have been ten times as bad! It's always someone else's fault with you twats. You lot simply refuse to take responsibility for your actions. The bit in bold sums up the Liverpool support very well and is why you cause incidents almost everywhere you go. If you don't have a ticket, don't bloody well go. Getting the whole country banned from European football and setting us back years hasn't made any impression on you lot, has it. You still cause trouble all over the show. To be fair the european ban didnt make any diffrence to newcastle. i think thats why HTL posted "the whole country" not "nufc"
  20. He's fat, he's round, he bounces off the ground, Mike Ashley, Mike Ashley. I think it may have been done before. to the tune of "don't cry for me argentina" "don't fly in a helicopter." "don't fly in a helicopter the truth is they're bloody dangerous they did for harding and philip carter not to mention McRaes son and the father"
  21. yes or there abouts. mind you if he'd played giggs at full back and bryan robson wide right and mark hughes in the centre of midfield i doubt he'd have made the 4 or 5 years.
  22. why wasn't the elbow by taylor, the elbow on viduka and the two footed lunge on viduka given as many column inches ?
  23. there has to be a point at which they cannot act as it would mean going through each second of footage from every camera to pick out each individual misdemeanor

    Allardyce.

i don't care if he'd won every game except those at sunderland, derby and reading. i'd still blame his decisions for not getting maximum points from those games.
  25. without reading through the five pages and i apologise if i'm echoing someone elses views but allardyce regardless of how much he has spent has built a decent squad, shit tactics and first eleven selection is what is fucking things up.
