not so sure ,after SWP's experience, glen johnsons etc i think a lot of youngsters would look for where their best opportunity would be.even then bale is a possible for man u as they have never settled on evra, heinze or silvestre at left back.

not bloody well surprised,BCFC play in red and white and play at ashton gate!!!! anyway......the point is it's annoying that over the last 15 years or so the media have just ripped the name from others..i don't mind calling any team united if they are playing against a city or town...bet they wouldn't say "united on the attack" if it was us V's sheffield utd.this talk of they haven't got a proper nickname etc, well i'm sure they coped on motd when i were t'lad and they didnt call em unoyted then! :winking: As i said in my first post, I fully understand why it would be annoying for your fans, even if in another way it is understandable. I have to say, we're fortunate in being the only "Villa" but what I particularly like is being referred to as "the Villa". If we had to share a moniker with those Manc cnuts, it'd be hellish. is your "villa" the same as the "on the slide villa"......no doubt different teams with a similar name :winking: Sadly, yes. Although another name would be "the on the slide, yet still above the Toon despite being forced to field a team of players so young, they haven't actually had the umbilical chord snipped yet Villa" :winking: i'd send our kids against yours if social services wouldn't get involved. if we were flush i'd be e-mailing the club "get luke moore"..is he what i think or have i just seen good highlights ?

Who are these? Dyer, Milner, Martins, uh.. Carrol, Sibierski 2 of them aren't strikers. There's a difference between a forward and a striker imo. Really? Possibly there is, but I wouldn't say they are both forwards, either. They're hardly defensive are they? They're predominantly attacking players, only Milner has a slight bit of defensive duty. And both him and Dyer can play off the striker or in a 4-3-3. They're forwards, no doubt about it. And if they're not - i've no idea what the hell they are. attacking midfielders and that would also make butt a defensive midfielder into a defender.....no midfield...are you adie boothroyd in disguise ?
-
i've seen his free kicks, very high quality, however i have no idea if he can defend or not.

got it given the other day so it's sitting in my locker for work reading.

haven't read any of the above but giggled all the way through scrolling down it. is it a record?.not a deliberate attempt aswell.

Are you even being serious about real madrid? The only time I used them to compare was by pointing out how poorly they gel despite having such good players. I compared this to how a manager despite how good he is will not always gel with a football club. What is idiotic about using Real Madrid in that comparison? Why would I care about whether or not Curbishly is the correct appointment? So how can the lower-paid chairman at Liverpool appoint 2 trophy-winning ones in a row yet ours (despite wasting more money in the process) can't appoint one during his entire reign? No not serious about RM, just a bit difficult to discern what your point was by posting repeated points in the same post. Just wanted to flag that as a waste of f***ing space and my time bluebigrazz.gif You should care about other clubs like Charlton if you are then going to try and back your point up with stuff about appointments by the Liverpool board tbh I pointed out that the Liverpool board (lower paid than freddy) are competent at appointing managers. This is a fact, as their last two managers have won trophies. How do I know if Curbs is a good appointment? I don't know a great deal about Charlton to have an opinion on it, to be honest. I can't see into the future can I? I'm not paid millions to do a job that involves having an opinion on appointing managers and I haven't interviewed him lately. Is this ok? would that be the liverpool board that appointed souness and evans ? Yes. Evans being better than Souness. Houllier being better than Evans and Rafa being better than Houllier. You see a pattern? It's called learning from mistakes and getting better at their job. A sign of intelligence. Do you think appointing poor managers, a good manager, then another two poor managers is a sign of any intelligence where running a football club is concerned? we'll see then if roeder turns out better than souness we are doing it the step-by-step liverpool way.so doing it right means we'll be in liverpools position in about 3 managers time. We're already not doing it Liverpools way. We went from bad to bad to good and back to bad. It's a completely different pattern. Must I go into detail? Please don't make me, I've got a bath ran and I wanna get in it but i don't want to do it the liverpool way, much better the man u way...mediocre then quality,no little steps, problem is dalglish was as gilt edged as we could get,had the history etc...outside of wenger or ferguson i doubt i'd be to happy with anyone.

hiarious.....too many footy manager 06ers on here. it all depends who is available,if a decent left back becomes available on loan more can be spent elsewhere,if a quality left back is available to buy then the manager has to think if he is worth that amount out of his budget.......then what if a huntelaar was available for our whole budget, would it be worth getting him now for next season and deal with the defence in the summer.writing off this season, starting preperations for next season now.

played well, tad fortunate to win 6-0,milner at centre half was a shock but our new signing A.Hippopotamus was fantastic up front.i didn't think the tactic of having martins drive the team coach would work but his indicating came off. steve bruce comitting hari-kari on the pitch was a nice way to round the day off.
-
why we want to win anything with that grumpy cunt in the crowd today i'll never know. :winking:
-
Styles was the ref, you nutter. stylie...wylie..potato..potato (better when I say it)
-
just cos they've played 7 or so games between them does not yet mean we have "churned out" good enough yet
-
Disagree... Nobby is a constant threat with his delieveries into the box. I just wish that Emre would let him handle the set pieces. with shearer in the team solano would take the easy way, just lob up dollies on to the penalty spot without pace or guile.he never does it ofetn enough to base a game on.
-
problem is,solano, like milner will put in one fantastic cross per game...thats not worth basing a game plan on. keep away from the "winger crossing for big forward "idea, last worked with ginola and gillespie, unlikely to work to ny effect these days.
-
keep providing those avs and you can criticise me all you want....who she ?
-
this mornings (mondays) independent has a table of how prem managers have done this year.....played,won,drew,lost,points,points per game. pleasantly surprised to find roeder placed 5th(overall standings given on points per game),behind the usual top four.
-
don't say that,even though it's true,it's a rewason to have a go...........................doncha know ?
-
if this game was between 2 teams we didnt care about we'd say man u deserved 3 points.....but unlike what most expected after thelast couple of games ,even when a goal down we fought, signs of spirit and defenite hope for the future.
-
taylor followed by emre.....parker may wear the armband but taylor captains the team, emre kicked all over and made them panic when he had the ball, only midfielder to hold the ball aswell.
