I do feel people are massively underestimating the challenge of turning around a sinking ship and rejuvenating a squad in need of a fresh voice. In the PL era I don’t think it’s ever been done, usually when managers are on the chopping block but are given the extra season they do get sacked quickIy I think? I don’t have the stats on this though.

Yep, I lean the other way, although if Howe came out and said he wants to bring a bit more creativity to the team I'd be more open to him staying, would be frustrated if he doubled down on intensity based football.

Schar has been a huge miss for us. Thiaw has recovery pace and made a nice tackle on Haaland but Schar made us solid as a unit and progressed the ball so well.
