Injury situation isn't bad yet but we'll have to remember that either Gordon or Barnes can get injured too which would mean we couldn't really use Gordon as a third-choice striker anymore. I don't think anyone expects meaningful contributions from Osula to our 24/25 season but he's an option we now have who hopefully can develop to be more in the future. Having someone like him available during the darkest moments of last season would've been important. Thought his performance was a positive yesterday, not much to do with but he seems to have the tools to potentially be a good PL player in the future.

I've written this hundreds of times but having the ref go to screen automatically after every red and penalty would be such an easy fix for VAR. Let the on-pitch referee make the decision based on what he sees on the replays. Would take away the biggest problem right now which are the 'clear and obvious' and 'is this bad enough mistake to overturn' controversies and guessing by VAR. Wouldn't delay the match either when it always takes minutes for the match to continue after a red or a penalty call. Same with the potentially missed penalty calls, VAR tells ref to take another look and the on-pitch referee makes the call based on what he sees. Leads to more consistent calls too when every ref would hopefully keep their decisions consistent.

I think perfection is very much possible on offsides with this semi-automated system. Just wish they would use it properly for other stuff too. I don't think it ruins the moment either as that goal showed.

He was so good that you just have to live with his personality. It's easy to say now that he wasn't an easy to player to have in your squad but with all that talent it shouldn't matter if Obertan or Ryan Taylor were more professional.

Schär and Almiron were good. Need our players to take some risks in possession, try to go past a man or make a risky pass. Hopefully more space in the second half when Wimbledon are forced to push up a bit.

He's still really good and probably will be for years but I think Spurs played it perfectly. Selling a 30-year-old striker for almost 100m in the age of FFP is something you can't really pass on if the opportunity is there. Regression could always be quick too but I would think Kane should be fine as pace has never really been an asset for him.

Joelinton was mostly an extra LB out of possession but saw him switch with Hall couple of times when Hall was marking/wrestling with Haaland which made a lot of sense. Joelinton’s lack of awareness in possession at times can be infuriating but he does so much when he’s on the pitch.

I do agree that we need to take this seriously but Bruno will be flying to South America during the break and most likely start twice. Gordon will be getting some minutes with England too. Personally I would have both on the bench and bring them on at HT or at 60 minutes if needed. Hopefully not needed and we can instead bring on some of the youngsters like Sanusi and Harrison.
