  1. Whopper wouldn't have a trophy in his cabinet though. Or another CL campaign.
  2. Aye, Pep had a horrible last season by his standards. We finished above Klopp's Liverpool in 22/23 when they missed the CL. Arteta has been consistent in not winning things outside the one FA Cup.
  3. Nah, Tino is the backup LB.
  4. These are some of the best buys the club has ever made and bar Wilson everyone is still contributing. All of the fees are low too. At what point do you suggest we should’ve cashed in on Burn for example? After the player of the season year he had and scoring in the cup final? Would someone really pay enough for a 33 year old CB for us to be worth it to let him go especially knowing Botman’s injury history? Pope just got picked for England again and we would’ve been absolutely fucked this season without Trippier.

    Lewis Hall

Brentford away is a game I wouldn't mind having Burn still at LB with their long throws.
  6. Refs from so many different countries so you never know what you get. You can expect at least some consistency in PL if I'm really nice to them.

    Dan Burn

He was marking Bowen on the last one.

    Overrated players

Injuries have taken their toll but I would say he's more underrated than overrated. Versatile, passionate and a good lad. Everton Richarlison would've been an absolute beast in a Howe team.

    Dan Burn

Do you really think that after all the years he has spent under Howe he just wanders around the pitch on his own? Good lord. Won’t even touch the ’mistakes at the back’.

Did Schär die? Impossible to tell really. It’s fucking amazing that we have four great CBs though and I would be confident in any combo.

    Joelinton

Was this post pre-planned like Eddie's second half subs? On a day when most players dropped a clanger or two I can't remember him losing the ball at all and thought he had a good game.
  12. Agree on everything. Gordon did that thing where he stops in front of a defender who then makes contact. VAR doesn’t take it away if it was given but don’t think it’s a pen. Bruno probably suffered from his reputation, should’ve got the pen.

    England

Just ran in to a dead end and went down.
  14. I would still say Bruno is much better on the ball. He can get out of tight spaces that Sandro wouldn’t even dare to try. Obviously sometimes looks daft when he loses it but no one is perfect. Sandro is better in some ways though, way more athletic and much better striker of the ball. Compliment each other so well.
  15. Almost impossible to choose just three. Bruno has to be number one for me, amazing we had been able to sign a player like him from that position when everyone quickly realised just how good he is. Burn second considering no one expected much and he has been a cornerstone since the signing. Probably Trippier third as he was to first big name player to commit to us and made it easier for others to join. Too many honourable mentions, Tonali has to be one of the three soon. Isak was an amazing transfer. Tino, Hall, Gordon, Botman etc. Even Minteh.
  16. Shaky at the back though.

    Nick Woltemade

A bit shan including a season where Woltemade played in the 3.Bundesliga too.

    Malick Thiaw

    Yeah, or even a wingback.
  19. That's a lovely double for Hojlund.

We play two matches a week for a long time, wouldn't use the word drop at all.
  21. Bullshit. He had like 2-3 poor games there and suddenly everyone was on his back despite decent performances. Obviously I prefer Tino or Hall there but he’s not a fucking calamity at LB.
