Feel good about my decision to boycott the football side here after the last two results.
-
Without thinking much I put them like this: Kompany Ferdinand Van Dijk Stam Terry Vidic Carvalho Adams Campbell Stones

IMO Club World Cup is a decent idea and something that has been lacking. The problem is there's just no room for it in the current calendar and players are finally talking about the too many matches they are made to play every season.
-
I would be shocked if it isn't playing a part in the decision like.
-
Decent half that. Silly goal to concede and make it hard for us. Just have to finish better in the second half and we'll win this.
-
Probably someone who watched our last match at Nottingham.
-
It's load management too. He played 180 minutes for Italy while Longstaff hasn't played in two weeks. Sucks for us but that's international football.
-
Was just thinking the same.

Even if that was 100% true, it would be irrelevant in our case. Infrastructure spending wouldn't limit our spending on the team at all. There's probably an argument to build the new stadium now when it isn't part of the financial bullshit limits yet. I don't have a strong opinion on either direction and would love to stay at renovated SJP but I do recognise it's basically impossible to make SJP suitable for a regular top 4 club. Location means you can't expand it enough and the corporate stuff where the big money is would always be badly lacking compared to our peers. New stadium would still have to stay in the city centre and it would have to be within a walking distance from the centre.

Do you really think this has happened because they moved away from Highbury? Timing of it is just a coincidence, if they had built Emirates a decade earlier they still would have won the league multiple times under Wenger.

Class from Davis but Delap has to score.
-
I think you can give the pen there as the ball was played from far away and he just purely miscontrols it instead of an unlucky bounce.

Havertz is so underrated now based on these posts. He's not amazing but he's nowhere near flop or garbage status. His size, strength and technical ability are rare in the same package and he's so versatile too.

I don't get how this kind of speculation is still a thing, it's an absolute joke. Happens anytime someone desirable outside the cartel hits some good form. Unique to football too, never see this shit in other sports. You can praise the player without telling the world where he should go next or be a perfect fit for some other team. Never see them drooling over big 6 players moving to Real Madrid, Barcelona or Bayern either.

Strong disagree, Longstaff going down never looks natural. Gets the timing wrong (either too late or early) and just looks clumsy doing it. Bruno is the complete opposite and master of it.
-
Aye, he has no idea how to go down convincingly.
-
I'm probably missing a word there. When he goes down it never looks like he's being fouled and somehow today thought staying up was the right call when he felt Yates' studs on his knee. He has really cut off the dives lately to be fair to him but took it a bit too far today. Refs/VAR also once again proving that you will not get the call without embellishing.
-
Taylor showed advantage. If Yates does that to Bruno he's 100% off, poor Sean just don't know how to go down.
-
The one on Longstaff was way worse IMO.
-
Eddie should show Gordon some Joelinton tape.
-
Longstaff just has no awareness when he should be going down. If Yates does that to Bruno he's getting sent off.
-
Looked more than good enough at RW, his versatility is such an advantage. I'm certain he'll be playing CB for us at some point.
