Really should collect 6 points in the next two games, n'all. Worst time to play Palace like. Irritating.
-
Aye, that dribble man Pity no fucker was interested in getting forward to offer him a pass.

Michael Dawson

Get ready for the boos.

Constantly surprises me how many points Villa have.
-
Looks more like Ben Arfa's shirt than Krul's.

Agreed. Don't know who they think they are really. This also shows the problem with clubs like WBA loaning players like Lukaku that are far too good for them. Expectations are raised without the funds to back it up.

Don't see anyone taking a risk on him until this rape issue is concluded.

The first one is unfortunate, obviously he should score but it's good defending. The second there's obviously no excuse. Awful.
-
We only looked more likely to grab a second once they'd equalised. First fifteen minutes of the second half were awful and that's what cost us. We sat extremely deep and gave them the initiative when we really didn't need to. I thought Southampton were rotten in the first half.

He's not a good impact sub because he's that desperate to be back in the team, he always wants to show what he can do a bit too much.
-
I'm consistently bemused when I come in this thread. Yes he's made a bit of a rick today but I don't see these poor performances I keep reading about. I think he's made a big contribution this season and has improved a lot defensively.

I completely agree, a whole lot of nonsense being written.

The players naturally sit back as soon as we score, it's rarely even about the half time chat although that never helps. At 1-0 when Shola went down the right and put it inside for Anita, who then wriggled through a challenge and looked up for a man, there was one in the box with everyone else hanging back. They'd had plenty of time to get up but none were interested. This happens time and time again, and yet I never see it when we're not already winning. Does my fucking head in. They've had it drilled into them for far too long that a one goal lead will always suffice.
-
Oh and Southampton might be a decent side but they're a complete bunch of arseholes.
-
Not the worst result but fucking frustrating to miss the chances we did and too often make the wrong decision. The way we started the second half was a complete botch job too but that has long been established as standard practice.
-
City fucking preposterous at home.
-
Hardly pushing my neck out but I think we'll win by the odd goal.
-
Aye, I really liked it too. Keane absolutely bitter as fuck.

I'd be really interested to know what, if any, police investigation there was re: Matt Le Tissier. It's always seemed a real elephant in the room to me. People have genuinely gone to prison for less in the last few years in cricket yet just because he had retired by the time he revealed it, and because he cocked it up, it gets treated as a bit of a joke. Soccer Saturday don't tend to mention stuff outside the Premier League when they're chatting but I'd love to see the subject broached and see how he reacted. Might be a good time for a week off.

If you pick a football team because of their success and then use that to gloat over people who support their local team then regardless of whether or not a defeat hurts you, you are a cunt. It's the footballing equivalent of winning the lottery then going down the homeless shelter and burning fifty pound notes in front of them.

So jealous of those there today. Every time I've been we've got somewhat close (0-0 when Shearer was brought down, 2-1 when Ambrose gave us the lead and last year when we led three times) but today must have been fucking amazing.

Furthermore, just as those who dislike Pardew have to hold their hands up at the moment and give credit where it's due, there were vast swathes of people on here last season (many of whom have been rapid in their attempts to hand out humble pie) consistently saying that the manager wasn't the problem and that it was actually the players (I distinctly remember searing criticism of Debuchy, Colo, MYM, Santon, Cabaye, Anita, Sissoko to name a few) who were garbage and that they were no better than the relegation fodder that the points total suggested.
