Our away kit has apparently gone from a busted flush to bleedin' lush.

West Ham agree fee in region of £15m with Liverpool for Andy Carroll
BottledDog replied to Pilko's topic in Football
Think of him simply being an upgrade on Shola. At the right price, he would be a fantastic addition. -
Doesn't that lower the ante? A trophy is infinitely better than finishing 4th.

We're not going down that route are we? Why would the club have anything to do with some spotty herbert work placement (fresh from graduating from Newcastle Mad dot com) on a subsection of another companies website?
-
Ok, so most people are taking survival over an FA Cup. Let's up the ante. Survival or Champions League qualification?
-
Poyet?? I would take Martinez.....Both are Definitely affordable.... Despite his bollocks post Haïdara, Martinez is infinitely more attractive than Poyet. More than infinitely.

If it was luck, we're pretty far from being SPECTACULARLY unlucky. It's a 1 in 758 chance to roll an FA Cup win.

They've just left with 2 young gold digging types. Excellent. Show him what he'll be missing if he heads back to Argentina with his missus girls.

Some. You appear to have missed off a fitness coach/medical bods.

Who fancies having a thoroughly fruitless protest against Pardew?

Get on it people - http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/your-say-newcastle-united-end-3676614 -
I'm very relieved and pretty optimistic that things won't be so horrendous. But I'll need a lot of persuading to be quite as optimistic as Ben Arfa about getting our shit together and fighting at the top of the table again next season.

A fully fit Krul & HBA is worth about 10 points a season alone imo. If he's lucky and they stay fit I'd imagine we'll stumble to around 50 points. Plus I reckon Cisse will get an extra half dozen goals. Nothing of Pardew's doing but players alone will get us around the upper mid-table mark. i don't think next season will be as bad, however if cabs & hba etc. are dead set against playing for this joker again next season and start demanding moves i think they might can pardew in favour of keeping a group of players together that they've worked very hard to acquire...it's probably our best hope also hoping that if he's been told he's in the job it's simply to keep his mouth shut in the press while they search for a replacement Did you read his post game comments? He seemed incredibly positive about next season at the club.

Agree with that myself. I'd like to think protests would work but Ashley doesn't give a shit what the fans think unless it effects the money coming in, let's be honest. Disagree. Of course protest and anger makes a difference to him, it's the main reason he sighted for trying to offload the club at a loss after the Keegan debacle. People showing anger inside or outside the ground has a much more noticable impact to a slow trickle of people giving up supporting the club to sit and watch games on their computers. -
Surely some mistake?

To me, the nature of the debates on message boards seems prone to getting people wound up well beyond the norm over the smallest of issues, and certainly not a healthy place to try and temper reactions (God speed, Ian W ). But much of the vitriol is clearly real and proportionate; Yes, Pardew can occasionally come across foolishly in interviews, he has given us a fuck cluster of a season to look back on, and very few would be upset if he was sacked tomorrow. A protest would help vent some of that anger and could well even force change. At the very least it should be a damn sight more cathartic for those who really can't seem to stand our manager than impotently spewing on here. I'm not passionate enough about Pardews demise to protest, but fair play if you are. It strikes me as far better for people to try to get heard and voice their opinions, than to see them mildly giving up on going to matches. -
If he is confident in Pardew next season, then who are we to disagree. /Unless he knows something we don't.

If it's like a hit of heroin or crack cocaine, then heroin or crack cocaine are not by a long stretch as good as I had been led to believe.

In clearly a state of immense relief, he expressed that he didn't give give a flying fook what happened in the next match, realised how stupid that sounded, and tried to qualify it by saying as long as the fans enjoy themselves. Made no sense, but just shows how he was buzzing off his tits at his team reaching safety. Stupid, but not worthy of a sacking (his inability to get his players playing well across a season sodding well is though), and certainly not worthy of goodness knows how many pages of teeth grinding. /Fair play league comments though....Jaysus.

Fuck off I'd miss the games against them a fuck sight more than Wigan or whoever else can go down. Not having them chuntering on about the 0-3 for another year or more neither.
