  1. Hopefully. Whoever else we manage to get through the door, she could still turn out our best signing of the summer.

Nice. Get the excuses in early.
  3. Don't mind Peter Reid personally. No idea how progressive as a coach he'd be though.
  4. No surprise, I agree. In fact, to get us into a position where we only need 2 first team players this summer is pretty good. Question is can we find the right ones at the right prices. The 'right price' aka the absolute bare minimum is the major flaw in our transfer activity though It can be an issue, aye. I'm sure we've missed out on some transfers on account of money. Like the top target we wasted 2 years watching his summer. Not convinced we really wanted Bony but the Debuchy delay and last summers striker failures set us back last season You mean Aubameyang? I doubt we would have got him at any price. I accept the general point though. We will never know if we could have as we pissed about 'in the loop' rather than just putting down the money and going for it. Theres no real evidence to say if we pushed it through he would have turned us down, we do know that mincing about doing nowt definately cost us the player we allegedly most wanted Pissed about 'in the loop'? Not according to French sources - We now know since Thursday that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will wear a Borussia Dortmund shirt next season. The finalists of the last Champions League have spent €13 million ( plus €2 million bonus) to secure the services of the Gabon International In doing so, the owners of Etienne kept their word: they had indeed promised to let PEA choose his destination, as long as the offer made to them was acceptable. The 23 year old having favoured the sporting challenge offered by Borussia Dortmund, ASSE (St.Etienne) had turned its back on higher offers made by Anzhi Makhachkala, Rubin Kazan and Newcastle. http://www.butfootballclub.fr/532517-asse-info-but-pourquoi-le-club-a-refuse-de-meilleures-offres-pour-aubame/ And I'd have thought those offers were in before BVB came in, doing little more than smoking out their interest.
  5. I would be disappointed if we lose Krul, Cabaye, and Cisse, and then fail to bring anyone in bar Kemen. That wouldn't strike me as a sensible thing to do. I hope we don't do that.

Sounds a fair chunk to pay if Kruls not on his way out. Krul's on his way out.
  7. bog off! doenst matter how subtle you are, ur still not allowed in Madame Cholets nickers.... thought you had resigned ur self to this by now? http://www.clker.com/cliparts/m/3/T/K/x/v/down-arrow-hi.png 87%

Is that not him just doing what he always does and getting the excuses in early? He did it all last season and it doesn't matter who he wants or wanted if he can't get the best out of who he's got or had. Yeah, because when he's trying to get his excuses in for when Joe doesn't get him what he wants, naming the two most atainable and yet least supporter friendly strikers out there is the most obvious choice. Christ on a bicycle, lads.

No fee agreed. Eagles co-chairman Steve Parish - “No terms have been agreed because we haven’t got an agreement with Newcastle United,” “There have been a few conversations with them – not on a fee, just details. “He’s had injuries, but to clarify nothing has been agreed. “It’s something we’ve made an enquiry about, that’s all.”
  11. Pathetic. The nationals have a job to do, and he's stating correctly that Kinnear is indeed "a source of easy material for the southern media", because, well, he fucking is. Hardly an attack man, based on that one quote. All I'm guessing he is saying is they may well be overplaying the level of turmoil he has caused. If so, good. / Have I just defended Ryder? // I need a shower.

Hmmm, that don't sound like a man on the move. Kinnear's dropped a bollock by buggering off for his hollipops.

Is Gosling going to Palace via the medium of a sponsored cycle, or is this now 'set to' fall through?

    Loïc Remy

    Aye, similar players tbh. Totally.

    Loïc Remy

Ryan is out for the season, I can't see them wanting him. Makes about as much sense as offloading Steven for fuck all and having Williamson as sole backup.
  16. BottledDog

    Loïc Remy

Pretty fkn sure they've got our Taylors mixed up. Ryan to replace Remy in the Championship on their wing.

    Loïc Remy

Anyone? Their owner admitted it a few months back, basically said that if they went down they wouldn't have to sell many players but they would have no option on Remy because of his clause. Can't find any quotes, but cheers.

    Loïc Remy

Can someone point me to the facts behind this Remy release clause?

    Alan Pardew

So why does he make Jonas or Shola captain when the chance arises. The man is a walking contradiction. Because, and both obviously and quite reasonably, alongside Colo and Taylor they are part of a very small pool of relatively long standing and presumably respected players in the boot room.
