Are you NE5? If you aren't how do the two of you manage to fit up his arse at the same time? Well you made yourself look a bit of a dumbass.. I said there was logic behind his decisions, not that i supported them. If your unclear of the difference just ask and I will clearly define them for ya. Of course you aren't supporting his decisions. Bobby - "With so much riding on that season needed a shake up" - well take a look at where we are now why don't you? Hire Souness - "Squad discipline problems, some one who would sort that" - yeah he was the right man for the job wasn't he? Hire Roeder - "An amazing run-in post Souness, deserved his chance" - Amazing? - hardly the words of a neutral Hire Fat Sam - "Without a lot of money to back him, rely on him his wheeling and dealing whilst pushing the club upwards. Something he had experience of" - because no one else in football has the experience of Fat Sam You can only put the first two down to logic if you swallow the line that Bobby had lost the dressing room. The last two are blatant excuses no doubt about it. Jesus wept, i said there was some logic not that i supported them, you cant tell the difference?? I made the comparison between him and Ashley, that FFS actually put a 'little' thought into his appointments and not approach any name he remembered in the 90's... Again.. to go over the points i have made.. hopefully this time you will 'get it'. I think the chairman of a club would know if there are problems in the dressing room, certainly more than a fan would tbh. Lets not forget half of our players were accused of rape and assault. Dyer and Bellamy all showing coaching staff ill-discipline and when a team stops performing, needs to be a change. logic here - needed someone who wouldnt stand for it How can you get rid of Glen Roeder when the guy is winning and showing top 4 sort of form and finishing in Europe, when we were languishing in 15th(?) before he came. the logic here - he earn't that contract by his result Fat Sam - no money available logic here - he got someone who didnt rely on money and can work on a tight budget So what exactly do you not understand from all that is so unacceptable and that i MUST have my head up FFS arse? Please enlighten me EDIT: I have just realised you responded to my post, about FFS decision making by judging it all on complete hindsight My post wasn't looking upon the Souness era as a success, it was more the reasons behind WHY he chose him! You can always argue that there is some kind of pattern or sense in something, the same arguements you make for Shepherd can also be made to fit any appointment Ashley has made. It doesn't make them any better, and there were many of us that said so when the decisions were made. There was nothing logical about letting Robson hang like a dead duck by saying he would leave, then sack him after the season has started without a replacement lined up, then desparately going for a man only a handful of idiots welcomed. There was nothing logical about sacking Souness so soon after throwing money at him, halfway through a season, without a replacement on the horizon. There was nothing at all logical giving the job to a hopeless character like Roeder, unless sticking with the easy option of a dead in the water puppet rather than bringing in someone who could command some sort of respect from fans and players alike is logical for someone now lauded for having... 'ambition'. There was little logic after these miserable fuckups to then bring in another unloved big mouthed British brute of a manager damned from day one by many for proving even less than Souness in his career other than a fancy facination with how many masseurs can fit in a function room, or how many miles James Milner may run in a day. Hopeless. He was a shabby, egotistical chairman who criminally frittered away the clubs cash (that he didn't siphon off into his families pockets) on predictably poor managers and wasteful star signings that left our teams invariably unbalanced, and I'm sorry, but if he returns he will rightly have a lot to prove before many of us will back him again. That is not something to look forward to when all most of us want at the moment is for the club to get a fresh start and to have some semblance of a united front again.

No excuses, that's a disgusting decision by the club. Fucking amatuers. Anyone know how to stop national Express fleecing me on Sunday evening tickets prices to london. ...not sure I can face the overnight bus Will still donate on Bobby's site, but really didn't want to miss this. -

Any compensation that Keegan gets will ultimately come out of Ashley's pocket, so what's your problem??? hows that. any case for wrongful dismissal will come against nufc ltd as opposed to mike ashley. Ashley owns the club at the moment and, if he manages to sell before Keegan's claim is finalised, any future purchaser would factor into the price paid the potential cost of Keegan's compensation, therefore Ashley will pay Keegan's compensation out of his own pocket. Simples. Ah, I really hope you're right. Would the club factor the claim into the sale price when they believe they are right in fighting it though? I dunno, doubt it. It will be up to the buyer to weigh up yet another unwelcome complication as they will be the ones liable for an extra 1/10th on top of the reported offers if he wins. Would love to think that wouldn't affect things much (sale/speed of sale/future transfer plans etc), but none of these gadgies seem particularly flush.

There might not be many good arguements defending him in this thread, but he's not quite so unarmed and vunerable as that little fella. Heck, while our future lies on a knife edge, he continues to demand one tenth of our clubs supposed worth in compensation. Thanks for that.

If you want to play those games mate, show me quotes where KK said "i want Faye out this club" Milner most likey was forced to put in a transfer request much like shay given was against his wishes. im not the one saying players were being sold behind his back though. i want some proof of that first. the second bit is completely made up. Made up going off what happended to shay............ What happened to Shay? He was forced to put in a transfer request? If he wanted to leave despite being in contract and at a time when we desperately needed him, well call me old fashioned, but that seems fairly fucking reasonable. There is not a shread of evidence that that was the case with Milner. /Still haven't answered my questions by the way.

What did he do to us exactly? I'll think you'll find he had our best interests at heart going by the events since he left. And I bet he has been gagged by the del boy who owns us. He left us in the s*** at the start of the season and we never recovered and i cannot forgive him for that and its been churned up so many times he should never have came back ,How many times has he jumped ship ? if he wasnt so spineless he should have insisted on Wise leaving before him ,this argument will go on and on but imho let him go cos self interest is his motivation and we need to start a fresh as i said why oh why go back to him because we all know it will end in tears as history tells us this, how many managers have acted like a spoilt brat like him through there managerial careers . I think you'll find it was Ashleys decision making that left us in the shit, hence why KK walked. If Keegan walked out, head held high on principle... ...then why the fuck did he sue us for wrongful dismissal? ...and failed to show any interest in highlighting the issues, or call for change at the top to help his beloved club if he thought it was so bad that he needed to do his disappearing act again? Ah come on now? Nobody? 1 - Because he was wrongfully dismissed? 2 - Pre-court case gagging order? 1. But everyone is saying he justifiably walked? 2. Clearly, but that is his choice as he chose to get his pound of flesh out of the club rather than have any sort of dignity.

Bassong: 'I want to leave for my career and my future'
BottledDog replied to Dave's topic in Football
eh? WE won't be getting a good fee, the money will not be going towards new players for us, it will be going straight in the fat cunts pocket. No. No it wouldn't. -

BottledDog replied to Dave's topic in Football
your optimism is a beautiful thing I'm trying, I think if Ashley sells any player its a fkn disgrace, the cunt is selling the club he should sell it with ALL of its squad and let the new owner & manager decide who is sold. I know if I was one of those looking at buying the club I would have made it very clear that I am looking at buying it ALL and that I wuld not be willing to buy it with him selling players before the deal is done. Aye that's what I would of thought, how can you sell a club for 100m but sell a player right before for 4m or whatever? Won't happen. I don't see any likelyhood of sales going through at the moment, for much the same reason they won't be making any appointments such as Shearer anytime soon. That said, (and while I don't believe it for a second) it may be the case that any sale has already been sanctioned by a potential buyer, and besides, if the price is right for Bassong, or any asset, then the money would go back into the company to be purchased, so the overall price shouldn't be affected. -

Yes and No. If done correctly and organized properly - the buyers can look over "the books" as well as any other pertinent information that the seller will put up. Its up to the seller to ensure that all pertinent information related to the sale/facilitate the sale are there. Hah! Not much else to explain, those in charge of the sale will go on there and look at what is up there, and make their decisions accordingly. Due-Diligence is useless if a firm doesn't put up a proper system that a the buyer can use. We used a system called Intralinks, gave potential buyers a username and password and let them go at it. We had several requests for more information that we did provide and did not provide. Skirge, any chance you can work your magic and get the required info. /User: mashley //Password: password

Good news! The mockups looked dreadful.

Judging by the number of people suddenly wishing him back. This needs repeating....and repeating...and repeating...

In what sense? Wakey wakey!

Not a chance. How on earth does he deserve a clean slate?

My thoughts...are they as far fetched as it seems?
BottledDog replied to Incognito's topic in Football
An inexperienced manager with a crap set of players?Again...trying to dispel the legend so to speak...why is he now supposedly advising prospective buyers not to appoint him? The point is that Shearer's appointment could easily have re-invigorated the players and seen us drag ourselves to safety. Daft move if he wanted to relegate us, and not one that would be in keeping with evil genius persona you seem to be building for Fat Mike. I believe the saying is "you can't polish a turd". This thead is full of bull including this. Yes, yes you can polish a turd. Check mythbusters. -
Like when he backed Bobby with just Bowyer when we needed to push on when we had the chance, or go for his own choices like Carr over Miguel etc. Meh. Besides, what is the point of backing managers when the managers you pick are for the most part penny dreadfuls. Sorry, not having a go, just need to vent when there is a prospect of the fat man returning.

I expect little. I hope however for someone a few degrees better than Freddy; a self serving bullshit merchant, unable to build on success.
